I'm sure you've heard it before: first and foremost, you must love yourself.
But what exactly does that imply? Is it about obtaining a cup of hot chocolate while it's freezing outside? Is it about purchasing a new dress for you if you like it? Is it capable of doing exactly what you want, when you want it to? Is it a matter of dressing warmly while it's cold outside?
Self-love entails learning to treat oneself as a loving father would treat a kid.
Even if you are an adult, as I believe you are, you still have an Inner Child. This is how you're feeling. You're still reacting like a 3- to 4-year-old toddler at that age. Emotions do not grow old or mature. You can, however, be mature. You can learn how to deal with them and keep your self-respect. You can learn how to look after your inner child.
You're trying to live in an adult world as a four-year-old boy or girl if you don't recognize your Inner Child. You feel alone, terrified of the vast terrible world around you, and you have no idea what to do, who to ask for help from, or how to protect yourself. This is the most difficult method. You will always experience fear, terror, doubt, and exhaustion. Trying to live as a child in an adult country is difficult. You'll be angry and afraid for the majority of the time, and you'll lose.
What is the reason for this? No one gives a damn about that Baby inside you.
Assume your given name is Charlotte. She is a 42-year-old woman. Charlotte, the tiny girl, is seated inside. You've done it. Little Charlotte will feel ignored if you are busy in a foreign place caring for other people, business people, travelling, and doing a thousand things every day. When you run every night to help others and ensure that their needs are addressed, you will get exhausted and cry in your bed. You will be upset from time to time. You'll be enraged for no apparent reason (but there is one, and it's a big one!). All of these wonderful feelings are your Inner Child's attempts to grab your attention.
Imagine you had a husband, colleagues, parents, friends, and a four-year-old girl called Charlotte in addition to your children. No one seemed to be paying attention to him. Nobody gives a damn. You yell at him, shut up whenever he attempts to tell you something, and you catch his attention. "I have to look after my parents, my career, my husband, my books, my friends, my other kids, and my house..." I'm sorry, but I don't have time for you!
You may believe that you are depressed as a result of the actions of others, such as your job, your children, your husband, or your parents.
It is not the fault of man. However, you must learn to care for your Inner Child, who has been neglected by you.
There is one weapon remaining to attract your attention after feeling stress before things change: little Charlotte will become ill. Alternatively, he will be involved in an accident. Perhaps Charlotte will learn to care for her ultimate Inner Child at that age, which is true (if not entirely) as a genuine flesh-and-blood child.
You must learn to be a loving parent on your own.
