The man agrees with the second reason because it is very noisy from the groups going through the library, which is distracting.
If you are doing some writing in the library like he was and the tour group shows up, you have to go back to your room and finish it there. He also said that the library website is so confusing, with lots of pictures and videos, that, compared to a quick tour, maybe actually learning about the library might be a better experience for the kids.
