As per the reports flowing in, He has charged a whopping 25 crores for KGF Chapter 2. For the unversed, the actor had charged around 15 crores for the prequel. So a hike of 10 crores is really good and much-deserved. Director Prashanth is at the second as he has taken a huge 15 crores for directing a sequel. As Prashanth is the brain behind all the Rocky saga, he deserves the given money!
A third is none other than our beloved ‘baba’ Sanjay. The veteran is making his Sandalwood debut and also marks his pan-Indian debut with KGF Chapter 2. The actor has reportedly charged an amount of 9 crores to play Adhere. A fourth is the former Miss Diva Supranational, Shetty. The beauty has charged 3 crores for her part.
Just like Sanjay, Tendon is making her first appearance in the franchise. The actress has got a decent amount for her role in the movie. She has reportedly got 1.5 crores.

Prashanth worked on the film's screenplay after the release of (2014), and the development of the film began in early 2015.[17] However, he decided to split the film into two parts, as the narration of this story is in a non-linear format, and the decision to split the film into two parts also had to do with the commercial prospects. In an interview with The Times of India, in October 2018, he added “The scale of the project is huge, and we had a scope for a beginning, an interval and an end for both parts, so it made sense for us to release it as two parts”. As for the decision to make it multilingual, he says that it was because the film is based on a unique idea and has a universal theme.[18] In December 2020, Prashanth confirmed that there is no third installment in the KGF franchise.[19]

While He and Shetty have reprised their respective roles, Sanjay was roped in for a pivotal role in February 2019.[23] Media rumors that Tendon would appear in the film started making rounds as early as February 2019.[24] A news report in The Times of India confirmed that Tendon will be seen in a "major role" in the film.[14] Despite becoming a breakout star, post the release of the predecessor, she rejected seven films, in order to start shooting for the film.[25] The makers hosted an audition in April 2019, for aspiring actors who want to become a part of the film's cast.[26]
On 29 July 2019,[27] Sanjay was revealed to be playing the role of the main antagonist Adhara, marking his Kannada debut.[28][29][30] He compared his character to Thanos, and revealed that it was "shown to be a dangerous character with scary makeup" and added that it was a role he was looking for.[3 Tendon was reported to play the role of Prime Minister Sen, and stated that "it was a difficult character to portray".[32]
Telugu actor Ramesh was cast in a pivotal role in May 2019,[33] and Tamil actor Saran was cast in August 2019.[34] On 26 August 2020, when the filming resumed, Prakash Raj was also revealed to be playing an important character.[15][35]
