Introduction to Jobs VS Business
Job vs business - The question of what is best for you and your career may come up at a time when you feel like going into an unknown field or just want to pick your job as carefully as possible. While there are many options available, which one should you go for? It takes some thought about it, but here are several factors that can help you choose the right choice if your skills, interests, budget, and other aspects are all aligned with each other.
There are two choices left: a job based on passion and skill set, and a business that offers salary stability. Here are the pros & cons of both options.
Pros Of A Job-Based Job Or Business
A job-based job allows us to control or direct our own time and energy since we don't need to sit around at end of days, weekends, and holidays. There are also no worries as to whether people will accept our work.
Cons Of A Job-Based Job Or Business
We have limited freedom to take decisions. When we feel that something doesn't pan out well, we can easily switch jobs. Work-life balance is important for most of us. However, some situations can be very stressful, especially during times of financial crunch, family issues, and personal struggles
Pros And Cons Of An Alternative Career Option
If you are good at something and have a knack for that special art, then it’s worth thinking about pursuing it independently as a self-employed job. If not, then try searching online for opportunities that can give you real experience and exposure to different industries.
Pros And Cons Of Self-Employed Skills Training Program
Another great option is if you are looking forward to learning new things without being tied down by any company. Learning has never been easier than via video conferencing. Also, when you start off from scratch, there are more chances that employers might be willing to hire you for certain jobs.
Pros And Cons Of Investing In Education
It's a common misconception that education pays back. You've probably heard stories of students who went to college for years only to find that they never made a dime. That's simply because the jobs they did were mostly low paying or non-existent. I'd say investing in higher education over money is actually better for long-term planning. Yes, you may learn some useful lessons along the way, but you will get much richer for that effort.
Pros Are Money Making Potential!
Some professions or roles are relatively easy to gain employment (usually in entry-level positions) while others are considered “hot jobs”, such as nursing, legal, teaching, or even mechanics. This means people may need to invest their time and energy in these areas before making further progress.
Cons Can Be Long Term Commitment
There is no guarantee that someone you meet at a party, casual coffee shop, or work, will stay with you for longer than a few months. Some occupations can turn out to be difficult to leave once you're employed. It's not uncommon to see a person go through periods of intense introspection as part of his life journey. This could mean missing out on other things in your life like your social life or getting married and having children.
Pros Get Better With Age Management
People in high-demand positions often enter the workforce at a young age. As they become senior staff, older workers generally feel like they are becoming scarce resources. They want to move up the corporate ladder and secure long-term benefits, so a few months ago a colleague of mine asked why my senior colleagues weren't promoted. My answer was simple, "because they've served well." He is now the chief operating officer and she is the COO! So we are learning that it's OK to change careers and careers, and let other people do so too. To top it off, working towards retirement is pretty lucrative too.
The Bottom Line On How Much Do People Make In Different Careers?
I feel like it is fair to say everyone gets paid differently based on how well they perform in a particular role. Although, on average, you may earn more in healthcare, childcare, and home care, where you spend most of your day (especially during summer), whereas finance, administration, sales, marketing, and information technology pay well as professionals. Even though this list will include some entry and junior-level roles, you can always look at other listings to compare.
