Sleep apnea is a condition in which the body becomes too old to react quickly to a small amount of activity of the microscopic muscles and metabolism.  This phenomenon is found in many ways in all living things.  It can be assumed that sleep plays a role in the theory of evolution.  Humans spend about one-third of their average lifespan on sleep.  I.e. 8 hours of sleep at night.

 The secretion of growth hormones is high and leads to muscle growth and cell regeneration.

- Energy conservation

 Excretion of adenine and other substances such as neurogenic waste.

- Memory consolidation

 Helps in learning and enhances memory.

REM Sleep - Irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, shortness of breath.  Different stages of sleep are related to the functioning of the brain.  Newborns spend most of their time on the REM Sleep component.

Insomnia 

Poor sleep duration or range of motion can affect our daytime alertness and performance.  When a normal person loses sleep, his body increases the length and extent of sleep to cope with it.  Sometimes the size may change without changing the length.

Sleep duration alone cannot be a measure of quality sleep.  Our vitality and the functioning of the body (organs) may not be in order.

Sleep deprivation is a condition in which you do not get enough sleep to support alertness, performance, and health.

-Acute sleep deprivation

Insomnia for one or two days.

- Chronic sleep deprivation

Sleep deprivation that makes it impossible to do normal activities.

This condition is caused by not being able to sleep.  If the situation is favorable, they will fall asleep.

 Neither of these is a condition called insomnia.  In both cases, there is a complete digestive tract.  People with insomnia may not be able to sleep even if they have a favorable environment and are extremely tired.

How much sleep does the average person need?

- The difficult question is how long a person will sleep if they are allowed to sleep without any disturbance.  Another way is to prolong the life of a person so that he or she can sit with maximum vigor and vitality.

After waking up in the morning, you will be able to engage in tedious work efficiently and will be able to finish your work beautifully.

- The duration of sleep depends on the age and  conditions of the individual.

- The average person sleeps 6 - 8 hours.

- For some people, 6 hours or less may be enough to keep them awake.

-  Some people need more than 10 hours a night.

According to the AASM recommendation, getting 7 hours or more of sleep a night promotes better health.  Decreased sleep duration is a major problem we are facing now.  Studies in 20 countries have shown that children lose 0.75mts / yr of sleep.  This was seen in boys who were high school students.  More than 6-9 hours of sleep indicates stress.

- Quality sleep

 Even if you sleep for more than eight hours, you may still experience sleeplessness.  It may be due to sleep disturbances or disturbances.  Quality is determined by how arousal it is.  5 arousal/ hr Sleep leads to daytime sleepiness, even after a night out.  We do not even know about this because this awakening is momentary.  We will continue in whatever stage of sleep we were in.

Remedy for insomnia

Follow a regular bedtime routine every night.

-Go to sleep after turning off the light.

- Do not use TV or mobile phone for half an hour before bedtime.

-Do not think of things that are distressing or stressful.

-Nervous system stimulants such as coffee, tea and tobacco products should not be used in the evening.

-Quit alcohol and smoking.

-Try to sleep with your eyes closed.  Although it may seem difficult at first, then the sleep rhythm will be right.

 If you are still unable to adjust your sleep, seek the help of a pulmonologist to diagnose any sleep-related illness.
