iPhone 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max launched with triple cameras: India price and release date

After the iPhone 11, Apple announced the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. While the iPhone 11 is aimed at general iPhone users, the iPhone 11 Pro models are for "Pro" users who want to get more done out of their smartphones. The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max succeed last year's iPhone XS and XS Max. The biggest upgrades come to the camera as they sport triple camera system, as well as a new A13 Bionic chipset. Apple has revealed the India prices and availability of the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max as well.

The iPhone 11 starts at Rs 64,900 for the 64GB storage option. The high-end iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max both start with 64GB internal storage that is priced at Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,09,900, respectively. The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max will likely go up for pre-orders starting Friday, September 20. They will be available a week after that on September 27 in India.

Earlier, Apple had shared that the sale will start from September 20 in India but then revised the date to September 27.

The iPhone 11 Pro comes with a 5.8-inch OLED display, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max gets a 6.5-inch OLED screen. Apple is using a new OLED panel for the two iPhone 11 Pro models that are called a Super Retina XDR display, which offers a peak brightness of 1200 nits and a 2 million to 1 contrast ratio.

All three iPhone 11 phones are powered by the new A13 Bionic chipset. While the iPhone XR successor gets an extra hour of battery life, Apple says the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro will get up to 4 hours of extra battery life, while the iPhone 11 Pro will offer up to 5 hours of extra battery compared to their predecessors.

Much like the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro also highlight new cameras. The Pro models come with triple rear cameras in a square-shaped module. All three cameras come with a 12MP sensor which includes an ultra-wide-angle lens in addition to a wide-angle and telephoto camera.
