IOS (formerly iPhone OS or iPhone Operating System [citation needed]) is a mobile operating system developed and developed by Apple Inc. especially because of its computer hardware. It is a powerful app for the company's mobile devices, including the iPhone; the term also included versions that run on iPads until the iPadOS was launched in 2019, as well as on iPod Touch devices, which were launched in mid-2022. [12] It is the second most widely used mobile operating system in the world, following Android. It is the basis of three other applications developed by Apple: iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
