Interdisciplinary Nature of Environmental Studies

Our dependence on nature is so great that we cannot survive without protecting the earth's environmental resources. The importance of environmental education is very high in human life. The human world is made up of both living and non-living things. This is basically a multidisciplinary approach. Which shows our natural world and its impact on humans, the most important thing is how to maintain human civilization on the basis of limited resources of the earth.

Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Sociology, Health, Anthropology, Economics, Statistics, Computers and Philosophy are the various components of Environmental Studies. Certainly, environmental studies is not a single subject, it is a combination of many subjects in which there is a wonderful adjustment of science and social studies. To understand various aspects of our environment we have to understand questions of biology, chemistry, physics, geography, resource management, economics and population. If we study the natural history of the areas in which we live, we will come to know that our present surroundings were in the past natural landscapes such as forests, mountains, deserts, or a combination of all these.

In this way, our everyday life has an inextricable connection with our environment and our environment is also affected by it. We use water for drinking and for other daily purposes. We breathe air. We use the resources that produce our food and depend on communities of living plants and animals. This is called life web. Everything around us is our environment and our life depends on keeping it as safe as possible.

Therefore, we can compare our natural resources with the money deposited in the bank. If we use it too fast the capital will dwindle to zero. On the other hand, if we work only with interest then it will be useful to us for a longer time, this is called development of sustainable use.
