On Sunday, India's Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that India's first bullet train service will start soon and cut the time it takes to get from Mumbai to Ahmedabad to two hours and seven minutes. The Union minister was at the Bhavnagar terminus, where he virtually flagged off the Ayodhya Express, the Rewa-Pune Express, and the Jabalpur-Raipur Express for Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, respectively. “The first bullet train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will start very soon, and the work on the project is going on at a fast pace. Vaishnaw stated, "When it begins operating, the journey from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will take only two hours and seven minutes." The first bullet train in India will travel 508 kilometers between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It will travel at a high speed of 320 kilometers per hour from Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Vapi, Surat, Anand, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. A new train between Porbandar and Rajkot, a Rs 135-crore coach maintenance facility at Ranavav station, a railway flyover in Porbandar city, two Gati Shakti cargo terminals, and a container terminal at an upcoming port in Bhavnagar were all mentioned by the Union minister as he addressed a gathering here. Several new projects have also been undertaken in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, with the double-engine governments in the two states making projects progress rapidly.
Vaishnaw asserted that during the eleven years that the Narendra Modi administration was in office, 34,000 kilometers of brand-new railway tracks had been constructed, with nearly 12 kilometers of new tracks being constructed each day in the nation. “Until now, no one has undertaken work of this magnitude. When railway stations are renovated in developed countries, they are done systematically by closing down all stations and trains,” Vaishnaw said.
“Everyone's expectation is that work should progress, trains should run, and the station should also be redeveloped. There is a large population here. Taking all these challenges into account, Modiji has a big vision today regarding the renovation of these stations,” he said.

There have been eight Amrit Bharat trains launched thus far. Despite having the same features as Vande Bharat trains, their prices are low. He stated, "You will be surprised to hear the emotions expressed by passengers using these trains, which have been constructed using cutting-edge technology."
