It is the foundation of the society which brings economic wealth, social prosperity and political stability.
It gives power to the people to put the views in the real potential.
It strengthens democracy by providing citizen visit tool to participate in governance process to make legacy.
In India, education is a constitutional right of every citizen has per article 21A.
Peoples of any age group cashed region are free to receive education in any part of India.

2. Steps taken by the government to promote education
In the present government has taken many initiatives to promote education to the backward class students offering midday free meals and providing scholarship to the students.
Some students do not have access to education to make this possible government has taken many measures to improve and assess the education to the students.
The government passed the right to education act 2009 of article 21A on August 4, 2009.
This act came into effect on 1st April 2010 following which education has become the fundamental right of every child in India.
It provides free and compulsory education to the children of age group of 6 to 14 years in neighborhood school within 1 km up to class 8 in India.
On similar lines this are others cream launched by the government such has Sarva Shiksha abhiyan midday meals.
Adult education and skill development schemes, National means cum merit scholarship schemes, National programmes for education of girls in elementary education, Kasturba Gandhi Balika vidyalay, schemes for infrastructure development in minority education institutions, Beti bachao Beti padhao.
For our country's growth, we required a well-educated population equipped with relevant knowledge and skills.
This can be achieved by spreading awareness to the people of the importance of education in rural areas.
That is a famous saying that if you need one person we will eliminate this hunger for only one time, but if we educate a person we will change his entire life.
The importance of education must have helped a student to improve the skills of personality and economic growth.
3. Problems with Indian education system
Our Indian education system faces a lot of problems that do not let it prosper and help other children succeed in life.
Biggest problem which it has to face is poor grading system.
It judges the intelligence of student on the basis of academics, which is in the form of exam papers.
This is very unfair to the students who are in good overall performance but not that good at specific subject.
More over, not only to get good marks, not paying attention to understand what is taught.
In other words this encourages in the student getting good marks through mugging up not actually gracing the concept and getting in knowledge efficiently.
Furthermore, we see how Indian education system focuses on theory more. Only a little percentage is given for practical.
This makes them run after the book is knowledge and not actually applying it to the real world.
This practice makes them a reflected, they go out in the real world due to lack of practical knowledge.
Most importantly, the Indian education system does not emphasize enough on the importance of sports and arts.
Student always ask to study all the time where they get no time for other activities like sports and arts.
4. How can we improve the Indian education system?
First and most importantly, we should improve the grading system.
Root learning should be discouraged completely and teachers and faculty should focus more on article skill of the student and grade them accordingly.
There should be more focus on comprehensive evaluation instead of scoring only good marks.
Workshop must be organized for teachers on a regular basis to keep them updated about the latest development in the sector of education.
At the same time the circular should be reframed according to the present need of education in India.
5. History of Indian education system
The history of Indian education systems come from the times of Ramayana and Mahabharata.
The historic Indian education system is also called as gurukula system.
There were gurus who wrote are now known as teacher and shishyas who are called as students now.
The Guru and shishyas live together under a one roof in gurukula until the completion of the education.
The shishyas were expected to help the Guru in all the daily as a part of the learning.
The children's belonging to higher strata of the society were thought all the subject from Sanskrit to holy, scriptures and mathematics by the gurus.
The students thought in the open classroom in an open area of nature.
This early system of education in India continued for many years until the modern education system came into picture in the 19th century.
The early 19th century during the British period of the modern education system was brought into our country by lord Thomas babington Macaulay.
The basic strength of this modernization system was the examination and a well-defined curriculum, which give importance to the subject science and mathematics subject and philosophy, metaphysics were given a back seat.
6. Difference between main stream education and Indian education
There are a lot of similarities between the mainstream education and Indian education, there are also some key difference between the mainstream and Indian education.
The most notable is that Indian education is after delivered in a culturally relevant and inclusive manner which takes into account the unique needs of Native American students.
This can be included incorporating tribal history and culture into the curriculum providing Native American educated and incorporating traditional tribal values and beliefs into the school environment.
In addition, Indian education is often offered on or near the reservation while mainstream education is not.

Indian education is a unique and the specialized education system that is offered primarily to Indian students.
It incorporates cultural element and elements which are not found in mainstream but is a subject of many of the same mandates.
The structure of the teacher and difficult is, especially in the government institution should be improved.
These steps will definitely help to motivate the teacher to develop the skills, and they will take a keen interest in shaping student's life and career.
The government and other entities who are associated with the education sector need to be understanding the importance of quality of education.
Education should be a holistic process that must focus on overall development of physical, social and skills of the student.
It needs to be a slow and cyclic process and must take place gradually to help the child develop into an autonomous independent and knowledgeable individual.
An educated individual is an individual who should be able to contribute to the betterment of economic and social development of the society as well as in the country.
The goal of education must be to exceed awarding the degree and certification to the student and education is not told a lie would but is a way to liberate the mind and soul of an individual.
