The Inter-Agency Task Force has added eight more countries to the “red list” or countries that are high risk for COVID-19 infection.
Added to the list are Andorra, France, Monaco, Northern Mariana Islands, Réunion, San Marino, South Africa, and Switzerland, acting presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary announced on Wednesday.
The Inter-Agency Task Force earlier included Portugal to the “red list.”
The task force noted that only returning Filipinos from “red list” countries brought by government and non-government-initiated repatriations will be allowed to enter the Philippines.
Fully vaccinated travelers coming from “red list” countries must have a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure from their country of origin.
They are also required to undergo facility-based quarantine, with RT-PCR test taken on the seventh day upon arrival.
They can be discharged from the quarantine facility upon the release of a negative test result.
However, travelers must continue to observe their condition at home until the 14th day of their arrival in the Philippines.
