How Your Success By Setting A Goal?
Setting goals and objectives is a widely used process in the business, and it was certainly part of my business training that I had to do over the years. Some better businesses and organizations will also include the setting of personal goals in human resource development, as part of the human resource (human resources) process. But what about you as an individual? Can you use it to set goals as a tool to help you achieve success?
Setting a goal, in fact, can be very helpful, sometimes a powerful contributor to your personal success. If you integrate goals and objectives into your own plans, whether short-term or long-term, then your path to success will have a better foundation.
Success? What is success? That is entirely up to you. If there is something in life that you want to achieve, then there will no doubt be goals that you can set to help you along the way; like stepping stones in a river where success is across the river. In fact, you can use goal-setting strategies in any area of your life, whether related to work, personal relationships, where you want to live, or hobbies or interests. As long as you set realistic goals for each phase, then it can be a powerful personal motivator, which will prepare you for the next phase. Eventually you will be able to look back and see how far you have come, and you can waver and say goodbye to those stepping stones and move on to new ones on another journey to success.
If you settle down and think clearly about what you want to achieve, and then what you need to achieve to get there, you will naturally give structure to the plan you are going to pursue; a structure that will integrate the goals you will need to benefit along the way. Like business goals and plans, your personal goals should be realistic. If you have never driven a car and decided that you want to be a Formula One racing driver, then it does not make sense to go straight to Ferrari HQ and say “Here I am, I can run you to next week's Great Race. Price?”
If you are serious enough, you may be a F1 driver, but there are a few goals you must reach first. That applies to almost anything. You need to identify the key achievements on the road to success in whatever you wish to achieve, set the appropriate series of goals, and mark each one individually.
It is important to think clearly about your personal goals, as they are, personal ones. It is not your husband's policies, your parents' policies, or your brother's policies, they are yours. Focus on what you want to achieve, not on what others would like to achieve. Use this opportunity to set goals for your lifestyle, such as living by the sea, having a comfortable home, or anything else that is important to you. Even happiness results from setting goals; you can think of all the fun you can have, and set goals to achieve that part.
Once you have decided your goals, put them together in a practical plan, otherwise you may become frustrated after missing a goal that would not otherwise be possible. Set a realistic timescale, and try to identify it step by step. If the place you choose to win is competitive, then remember that most people will just give up. But you will not stop, will you?
