Add a little music, the spice of life, to your child’s daily life! Music will help build important life skills and empower them for success in life!
Music has a profound presence in our everyday lives. We hear it almost every time: when we are driving, when we are shopping, when we are taking our morning walk, and even while we are working.
Music is a ubiquitous source of entertainment. It is an undeniable agency that transforms our moods, emotions, and attitudes. It induces a sense of physical, emotional, and psychological wellness and leads to higher spiritual realizations.
I don’t believe there is a single person who has resisted allowing music to take over his or her life at times of grief and joy. Music calms the mind and helps us regain our emotional balance.
We simply love music. We cannot imagine a world without music. Rich or poor, man or woman, infant or grown-up, all love music. Music, therefore, has universal appeal. Music transcends the boundaries of nations.
From helping us to wake up in the morning, to the arrival of a caller at our doorstep, announcing an incoming call on the phone (caller tune), drawing the attention of passengers in the airport or railway station, in games for fun (musical chair, etc.), putting a caller on hold, the list of things where music is used is innumerable. Music is also known to inspire warriors and war animals in the war field.
Whether love, peace, tranquility, serenity, joy, horror, music enhances them all. No wonder why we all have a craving for music in our lives.
Music impacts the human mind in many ways. Different music styles can quickly affect a man’s mood and help them experience and process a wide range of emotions-happiness, excitement, sadness, calmness, and thoughtfulness, etc.
The music originated in nature. Nature sings in myriad forms- the sound of the blowing air, the gurgling sound of the brooks, the crashing sound of the sea waves, the sweet tone of the nightingale, skylark, and cuckoo, melodies of the human voice.
Man is the most wondrous creation of nature. Human beings have learned the art of making music. And this art has evolved over time. Man has been able to create music with the help of instruments of all types and the human voice.
The therapeutic value of music has been recognized since the pre-Christian era and has been put to use in many religious communities across the globe. The therapeutic value of music has also been recognized by modern man.
Music therapists use a person’s responses and connections to music to encourage positive changes in mood and overall mindset. YouTube is loaded with tons of different musical options for mental wellness. Music therapy includes listening to music or creating music with any or all types of instruments.
Music involving the playing of musical instruments, singing, and moving to music (dancing) has been recognized as a profound spiritual practice. It takes our meditation experience to the deeper states of transcendence. The impact of live music interaction provides for a faster dip.
Music- its tempo, accent, rhythm, and melody is also known for its ability to improve concentration, and attention skills and thereby builds confidence, communication skills, self-awareness, and awareness of others.
Children learn important life skills through music. When children or even adults begin learning to play an instrument, we may not realize that they are learning vital life skills, but the music certainly teaches them the value and reward of patience, practice, and persistence.
These are the three skills that most parents would want their children to learn early in life. They will help them learn that we progress in life and achieve success through incessant commitment, practice, and perseverance.
Let’s trust and fall in love with music and spice our lives for a richer and fuller life with tons and tons of music and dance!
