How Yoga is Benefits For You? How to Improve Your Mind, Body, and Spirit By Yoga?

yoga

Yoga - If you think that yoga means intimately transforming your body, then it is time to rethink your thinking deeply. Yoga is not just limited to asanas but is much more than that. Simply put, it is taking care of your mind, body, and breathing.

Origin of Yoga- In ancient times, it was done in India by Yogis. ... The practice of yoga teaches us the discipline of body and mind through the union of body and mind. It is a spiritual practice, which is done through meditation to balance the body and mind and come closer to nature.

Literally meaning - Yoga is derived from the word "Yuj," which means - to unite or integrate. Yoga is an important part of Indian Jnanpith for 5000 years. The word 'Yuj Samadhau' is derived from the suffix 'Gha' in the Atmannepadi Divadiganiya root. Thus the meaning of the word 'yoga' is samadhi, i.e., the cessation of the mind tendencies.

Although the word 'Yoga' also derives from the root 'Yujir yoga' and 'Yuj Sanyamane,' but then, in this case, the word Yoga would mean addition, addition, and regulation, respectively. Further in yoga, we will see that yoga has been said about the soul and the Supreme Soul.

In yoga, through asanas, pranayama, and meditation, we learn to harmonize the mind, breathing, and various parts of the body.

Yoga (Sanskrit: yoga) is a spiritual process that involves bringing together (yoga) body, mind, and spirit. The term - process and Dharana - is related to the meditation process in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. The word yoga has spread from India to Buddhism and China, Japan, Tibet, Southeast Asia, and Sri Lanka. It is now familiar to people throughout the civilized world.

Definition - 'Shri Krishna has said at one place in the Gita 'Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam' (Yoga is a skill in actions.) This sentence is not the definition of yoga. Some scholars think that the union of the soul and the Supreme Soul is called Yoga.

Yoga is the name of the cessation of the tendencies of the mind, as defined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras, 'Yogashchittavritti nirodhaah.' This sentence can have two meanings: the name of the state of cessation of the mind is called yoga, or the means to bring this state is called yoga.

But many scholars object to this definition. He says that the name of the flow of mind is the mind. Complete cessation would mean the complete disappearance of the existence of the mind, the cessation of all the memories and sanskaras of the mind. If this happens, then it will not be possible to get up from the samadhi. Because there would be no sanskar left to support that stage, destiny would have been burnt.

If detention is possible, what would be the meaning of this sentence of Shri Krishna? Yogastha: Kuru karma act by being situated in yoga. Karma cannot be done in a virudha state, and in that state, no sanskaras can be formed; memories cannot be formed, which help perform actions after rising from samadhi. In short, it is not very easy to properly understand the classical form of yoga, its philosophical basis. The non-dualist who considers the world to be false also supports it in the name of Nididhyahan. The atheistic Samkhya scholar also approves of it. Buddhists, Muslim Sufis, and Christian mystics also somehow harmonize it with their sect's beliefs and philosophical doctrines.

How can there be such coordination among these different philosophical ideologies that such a ground can be found on which Yoga wall can be erected? This is an exciting question. Still, it needs a lot of time for its discussion. Here it is necessary to reflect a little on the process whose outline we find in the sutras of Patanjali. With a little bit of wording, this process is valid for all communities that support yoga practice.

According to Patanjali Yoga Philosophy -

  1. Yogashchittavrutinirodhah, i.e., Yoga is the cessation of the tendencies of the mind.
  2. According to the Sankhya philosophy - Purushprakrityorvyogepi Yogaityamidhiyate. By establishing the separation of Purusha and Prakriti, the existence of Purusha in the Self is Yoga.
  3. According to Vishnu Purana – Yogah Sanyog Ityukt Jeevatma Paramatmane, the soul and the Supreme Soul's complete union is yoga.
  4. According to the Bhagavad-gita - Siddhasiddhayo Samobhutva Samtvam Yoga Uche ( i.e., having equality everywhere in the conflicts of sorrow-pleasure, profit-benefit, enemy-friend, cold and heat, etc. is yoga.
  5. According to the Bhagavad-gita - Tasmaddyogayujyasva yoga karmas, kaushalam means that duty is not the bondage of action. Therefore it is skill yoga to perform duty by being inspired by the spirit of selflessness.
  6. According to Acharya Haribhadra - Mokkhena Joyanao Savvo Vi Dhamma Vavaharo Jogo, All behavior connecting with salvation is yoga.
  7.  According to Buddhism - Kushal Chitakaggata Yogah, yoga is the concentration of a skilled mind.
