How Write On Your Business Card

Like most retailers, I visit a lot of customers and prospects every month, some end up not buying and some don’t buy, but everyone has my own business card. I attend business breakfast, seminars and other social events where I look for new contacts and eventually become a new business, each person I meet gets a business card.

One day a few years ago, I realized that I was not only handing out many cards, but also getting a few right ones for myself. I decided to return to visit some older ones to see if I could find some new hope. When I first started sorting them out, I began to realize that most people's cards really don't mean anything about segregation. Unless you work for one of the few companies that displays your name in what you do, you may be writing down your phone number on a piece of paper and forgetting to add your own name.

As such, all those people to whom I had been actively giving my business card also had all the imaginations of contact, written here in black and white, but did not know what I was doing! It is my job as a salesperson to “put my face around”, make sure I stay connected and remember as much as I can with all my hopes (perhaps, with a little help from my CRM). My hopes are also everyone's hopes, they don't need to remember me, so they need a little help.

I realized that the solution was simple. WRITE YOUR BUSINESS CARDS !!!

Here is the situation: Someone who returns to the office one day and is told that he needs a new widget supplier, it is his job to get one. He remembers talking to a few providers in the study but does not remember exactly who he is, so he quickly flips through the cards, and, when he meets one, does not remember the name or face to match it, but, in clear, “Widgets, budget has reached a high level.” Who is invited to the meeting?

I'm one of those people who guard my business cards at meetings. I do not like connecting aimless cardboard (exchanging business cards without purpose). I am angry with someone who says, “Hello, my name is…. Here is my business card, can I have yours? ” My suspicion is that I will be placed on someone's junk mail list. However, by playing the song first, you have achieved something very important in your social work - you have found a reason to extend the relationship beyond the event you have met.

Not all expectations you meet will match your client profile (or influence center). This is especially true for me, as I have a very special niche. Focus your attention on those who meet your criteria. Write down the notes on the back of the card (the reason for the strong connection), and then have a discussion point where you can build your relationship at the next meeting or in your books. Follow up immediately after the meeting by posting the promised information.
