Do you think self-driving cars are safe? Please explain your answer.
NO I DO NOT THINK THAT SELF DRIVING CARS ARE 100% SAFE AND IT IS UNDER A TESTING PROCESS RIGHT NOW
In the United States, all self-driving technologies are typically SAE Level 2 or lesser. It is not safe to take your eyes from the road, when driving any car equipped with this technology currently on the market. Under certain circumstances, however, it is safe to take your hands off the wheel for a short period of time with some Level 2 systems. You should, however, be ready to take over the driving at any time.
Tesla promotes its automated systems more than any other automaker in the United States. “Autopilot and Complete Self Driving Capability are meant for usage with a totally attentive driver who has their hands on the wheel and is ready to require off at any moment,” the company's marketing materials read simply. While these functions are meant to improve over time, the ones that are now available do not make the vehicle self-driving.”
2. Does the brand name play a role in perceiving that a self-driving car is safer?
I Think yes in some cases of big brands but I think in the matter of safety if we take any biggest brand it does not give complete safety and it requires more improvement and tests with full satisfaction of consumers.
ADSs (AUTOMATED DRIVING SYSTEMS) are being developed to drive a car, taxi, bus, or other vehicle while the driver is occupied with other tasks (e.g. reading a book). The Operational Design Domains (ODDs) of Level 3 and Level 4 ADSs contain limitations, such as geography constraints and limitations based on weather, time of day, rainfall, road grades and curves, and other considerations. Level 5 vehicles are self-contained and do not require an ODD.
New Marketing Strategies for self driving cars
People may spend more time in self-driving cars since having a long journey is significantly more pleasant as a passenger than as a driver. People who initially spent little time online may now find themselves on social media and watching streaming entertainment. Advertisements tailored to this new audience, passengers in self-driving vehicles, have the potential to disrupt the advertising industry's more established companies.
- How you would convince consumers that self-driving cars are safe ?
WE CAN CONVINCE CONSUMERS BY INSERTING " DRIVERS ASSITANCE TECHNOLOGIES "
Today's automobiles include driver assistance systems that are already saving lives and preventing injuries. A number of today's new automobiles contain technology that, among other things, assists drivers avoid drifting into neighbouring lanes or making risky lane changes, notifies drivers of other vehicles behind them when backing up, and automatically brakes if a vehicle ahead of them stops or slows down suddenly. These and other safety technologies employ a combination of hardware (sensors, cameras, and radar) and software to assist vehicles in identifying potential safety hazards and alerting the driver to take action to avoid a collision.
