I am lucky to born in India, which is an independent country and where we have all the facilities. Even it has the freedom to do everything. So, why we can't use our freedom to contribute our own nation? Still, India has given us everything. All the people staying in India contribute to India by paying taxes, which is compulsory for all, for rich as well as poor. But is this a real contribution?
15th August 1947 is the day embossed in the golden history of India. It is the day when India got its freedom from the 200 years of British rule. It was a hard and a long no-violent struggle in which many freedom fighters and sacrificed their lives for our beloved India. We all know that the British ruled India before the Independence of our country. They never treated Indians equally. And now after the Independence of our country, Indians never treated others equally. So what is the use of Independence of our country?
Even there are more other things which can lead to the development and contribution of our nation too. There are many ways to make our country a better place to live. It is depended on us to make it. I should help the senior citizens, as they are a part of our country. I should provide food, medical and education service, who can't afford to do that.
I will clean my local area to stop various germs and diseases. Stop littering around. Be better neighbor. Even plants and animals are part of our country.
So, I should help and protect them before they get extinct.
I should stop global warming, to get fresh air and good surroundings. Plantation helps in reducing pollution.
I should also conserve rain water and use them as a benefit.
I know I can't stop global warming, but I can reduce it by using public transport because it reduces fuel to burn and saves our money too.
As simple as that. Every time there are elections around the corner, we see massive campaigns urging people to get out and vote. That’s because statistics say not many people vote. And a good chunk of this is the urban population. Voting directly has an impact on making our country better. So go get inked.
I will also follow R's - Reduce, Recycle, Reuse.

I would like to conclude by saying that no matter how much I praise my country’s achievement, it would always be less. Our country is our motherland, and we should always be grateful for whatever we have got from our country. We should participate and put positive efforts in the growth and development of our nation.
I would like to request you to make our nation proud, may it be by keeping our vicinity clean, educating and empowering the weaker section of the society, paying our taxes or conserving our natural resources by recycling and reusing. I would like to thank God for giving me this great nation India as my motherland. Thanks.
