                                             Women Presentation in our Media
Media:
Media is the communication way out or tools used to store and deliver information or data. It has different types.

  • Social media (Internet)
  • Print media
  • Electronic/Broadcast media

Here is the presentation of women in media:
Women in all types of media tend to be thin. They talk less than men and have a little school of thought.

Social media:
Social media has an important effect on people`s lives. In content across online new platforms and advertisements, women are more misrepresenting. They are extremely externalized through memes and also utilize through pornography and matchmaking. Also, the introduction of new software for changing images has authorized the misrepresentation of women`s bodies. And there is the negative stereotyping that is increasing. Other than that, online websites, fashion posts, and modeling humiliate women on online platforms. While presenting women, media clearly differentiate roles between women and men. It frequently sketches women as subordinate, bound, and vulnerable to other parties. In social media, women are humiliated as Gold Digger if a woman is not a gold digger. Still, men always doubt that and shame her Digital social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat present women as a source of entertainment and weak. These platforms allow everyone to share their own opinion about any certain matter. So, anti-feminists mortify women by sharing memes and discussing women's weaknesses.

Electronic media:
Usually, women didn't frequently appear in the news, and when they did, they were customarily portrayed as trouble makers and repressed. Most advertisements feature situations in which men dominate women. In advertisements, women tend to be thin, with light complexions as a stereotype of physical beauty. Media presenting women as bait to focus the customer's attention on the product offered. This also has established beauty standards for a common girl who wants to be thin and white to get married. Most media portrays women as victims. Their privacy gets blow away; personal rights get damaged when their private lives become public. When looking at TV programs, we observe that media exploits women. Their content is concerned with sexuality and entertainment, where women have been defined in very narrow roles. They show women fragile and insane who have a little viewpoint, usually incompetent and dumb and partly indicative of a problem. They are placed in the domestic sphere, talking about domestic jobs and cleaning. There are fewer women than men in the news, and for working women, there is less speaking for women than men. It promotes gender inequality.

Print Media:
Print media plays an important role in changing public opinions. But women and their issues find comparatively little space in newspapers and are often stereotypically portrayed when they are included. In our print media like short stories digest, women are written down as performing daily household chores like cleaning, cooking, and nurturing children. Furthermost, magazines sketch pictures of girls whose purpose in life is to get married and live happily. And after marriage, her purpose becomes nurturing of child and serving her husband. In general, newspapers and magazines reinforce violent stereotypes. Such as in Asian countries, domestic violence, sexual abuse, dowry problems, and family issues.
