What is WiFi?
Wifi, or Wireless Fidelity, allows you to connect to the Internet anywhere at speeds up to 54Mbps. Computers WiFi enabled and hands-free use of IEEE 802 11-based radio technology to send and receive data anywhere within the range of the base station. Wireless is an inexpensive, easy-to-use, and effective technology and yet a very small technology. Here's a quick look at what the future holds for them.
Radio and phone
Wireless networks will always win wired, if for no other reason, because it is much cheaper for signal to travel through the air than to install and maintain cables. For example, consider that phones were originally used to send and receive news reports. With the advent of radio, this has been going on almost all night - why bother going to all those costs when you are free 'on air'? The same principle applies to computer communication.
Imagine having a choice between a wired and a wired internet connection. The only reason to choose a cable connection would be the cost because it is currently cheaper? However, that is about to change. Wireless is also simple. If the cost gap closes, if you are given the opportunity, there is no logical reason why anyone would not switch to a wireless connection.
WiMAX
WiMAX is the next generation of wireless. It will use a standard called 802 16
The current standard is 802 11 It is still a work in progress, but the opportunities are exciting.
WiMAX stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access and is designed to be compatible with existing wireless devices… instead of replacing it. The great advantage of WiMAX is that it greatly expands the scope. Instead of measuring square meters, which is how the current level is measured, the WiMAX range will be measured in square kilometers. Some estimates say that the best WiMAX channels will be able to cover up to 50 miles or nearly 30 miles!
Clearly, this opens up many wonderful opportunities. Wireless access will range from LAN (Local Area Networks) to MANs: (Metropolitan Area Networks) covering an entire city or city with wireless access. The question will no longer be if you can connect wirelessly, but which WiMAX network you want to connect to.
Other benefits of WiMAX include speeds of up to 70Mbps (about 10 MB per second) and better security. Think of a future when ordering internet access is as simple as connecting your wireless devices to the network, opening your web browser, and purchasing a low-cost subscription. That's it done. No more access points, no routers, no fixes just wireless internet, anywhere and anywhere at broadband speeds. WiMAX is in the process of taking over the world by storm.
What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is a new standard for short-distance radio communication. It is a new and promising field in the field of wireless communication, which will have a significant impact on the performance and use of future electrical gadgets. The most obvious purpose of Bluetooth technology is to replace the USB and is designed to eventually replace almost all existing cables except powers cord. What does that mean? It means that one day your TV may be connected to your DVD player via Bluetooth or your speakers may connect to your radio with it, and so on.

My prediction within 10 years, wireless access will make everyone's life easier and it will be normal. The future has no wires.
