How will kidney stones form?

 

 Generally, urine consists of salts and minerals. When the levels of minerals increase in urine, they will form as an object is known as kidney stones. These stones are small at the stage of starting, but can grow larger and block the inner hollow structures of the kidney.

 If the stone becomes clogged in the ureter, it blocks the urine flow so that kidney stone and cause pain. The common symptoms include severe pain in the lower back, blood in your urine, nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, or urine that smells bad or looks cloudy.

 The kidney stone will treat with shockwave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, or nephrolithotripsy.

 There are four types of kidney stones: uric acid, struvite stones, calcium oxalate, and cystine.

 Uric acid stones (5 to 10%): The waste product, which comes from various chemical reactions of the body, is called uric acid. The acidic urine may come from: Being overweight, chronic diarrhea, type 2 diabetes (high blood sugar), gout, a diet is high in animal protein, and low in fruits and vegetables.

 Struvite: These struvite stones are not a common type of stones that are related to chronic urinary tract infections.

 Calcium oxalate(80%): Calcium stones are the common type of kidney stone. They are classified into two types, calcium oxalate, and calcium phosphate. 

 If people have too much calcium in their urine, raising the risk of calcium stones. Even with the normal amounts of calcium in the urine, calcium stones may also form for other reasons.

Cystine stones: (Less than 1%): These are rare stones, are about 1 in, 7000 people worldwide get cystine kidney stones. It will occur for both men and women who have a cystinuria genetic disorder.

 Symptoms: The following are the common symptoms of kidney stones. The symptoms are: cramping pain in the back, and side, intense feeling to urinate, feel of burn during urination, due to blood the urine comes dark or red, then sometimes if urine has small of amount of blood we can't see in the eye, nausea, and vomiting, feel pain in at the tip (for men).

 Causes for kidney stones: Generally, kidney stones occur in people between the age of 20 and 50. Constant lower urine volume is the major factor in kidney stones. Due to dehydration, the volume of urine will be reduced. Not only the low volume of urine, but the various risks also developed the kidney stones.

 The risk factors are Obesity, dehydration, a diet with a high level of protein, salt, or glucose, hyper-parathyroid condition, gastric bypass surgery, inflammatory bowel diseases that increase calcium absorption, taking medicines like triamterene diuretics, antiseizure drugs, and calcium-based antacids.

 Prevention: Proper hydration, it's recommended to drink enough and pass the urine about 2.5 liters per day. To increase your fluid intake you can substitute lemon juice, lime soda, fruit juice, etc.,

 avoid eating heavy salty foods and salty water to reduce the risk of kidney stone formation.
