How well do I know about ‘’THE MOON’’....

THE MOON 🌚//:

The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite. At about one-quarter the diameter of Earth, it is the fifth-largest satellite in the Solar System, the largest satellite in the Solar System relative to its major planet, and larger than any known dwarf planet.

What is moon made of?
The average composition of the lunar surface by weight is roughly 43% oxygen, 20% silicon, 19% magnesium, 10% iron, 3% calcium, 3% aluminum, 0.42% chromium, 0.18% titanium and 0.12% manganese. Orbiting spacecraft have found traces of water on the lunar surface that may have originated from deep underground.

IS THE MOON HOT OR COLD?.

Temperatures on the moon are very hot in the daytime, about 100 degrees C. At night, the lunar surface gets very cold, as cold as minus 173 degrees C. This wide variation is because Earth's moon has no atmosphere to hold in heat at night or prevent the surface from getting so hot during the day.

DO U KNOW WHY IS MOON IMPORTANT?

The Latest. The brightest and largest object in our night sky, the Moon makes Earth a more livable planet by moderating our home planet's wobble on its axis, leading to a relatively stable climate. It also causes tides, creating a rhythm that has guided humans for thousands of years.

CAN WE LIVE ON THE MOON?

Although you might think it would be cool, humans could not live on the moon! (Maybe one day in the future...) The moon has almost no atmosphere, so there's no air for us to breathe. There is no water on the moon either, and we need to drink water to survive.

HOW MUCH OXYGEN IS ON THE MOON?

According to a meteorite information report on the website of Washington University in St. Louis, the top surface layer of the Moon is made up of 41-45 percent oxygen, but is trapped inside the regolith consisting of minerals such as silica, aluminum, iron and magnesium oxides.

DOES FULL MOON AFFECT HUMANS?

They've reviewed records, conducted their own studies, and came to this conclusion: A full moon doesn't cause an increase in these human behaviors. In fact, two studies found that during a full moon, incidence of homicide and trauma dropped slightly.

HOW LONG DOES A FULL MOON LAST?

A full moon only lasts for one night, but because our annual calendar isn't quite in line with the moon's phases, sometimes we get more than one full moon in a month. The Royal Museums Greenwich explains: A full moon happens roughly every 29.5 days.

Some interesting facts about the moon::
  1. The Moon is Earth's only permanent natural satellite.
  2. The Moon is the second densest-satellite.

The Moon always shows Earth the same face

WHY IS MOON IMPORTANT?

Earth's moon is vitally important in making Earth the planet we know today: the moon controls the length of the day and ocean tides, which affect the biological cycles of lifeforms on our planet.

The brightest and largest object in our night sky, the Moon makes Earth a more livable planet by moderating our home planet's wobble on its axis, leading to a relatively stable climate. It also causes tides, creating a rhythm that has guided humans for thousands of years.

The Moon was likely formed after a Mars-sized body collided with Earth several billion years ago.
