We provide non-perishable food, drinking water and basic medicines to families affected by floods. We aim to replicate this effort across the country, after which we will launch our House and School Reconstruction Program, which we have previously implemented in Azad Kashmir, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Heavy rain lashed much of Pakistan on Friday after the government declared a state of emergency due to monsoon floods that are said to have affected more than 30 million people.
Thousands of people have been affected and are highly vulnerable by severe flooding in Southern and northern part of Pakistan. Recent heavy rains in Sindh,KPK and Punjab have killed dozens of people due to urban flooding and have swept away livestock, properties and valuables of worth billion of Rupees. Donations will provide immediate relief to survivors in form of supplies(food, shelter, water, and medicine) in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents recover and rebuild.
Hundreds of people, including women and children, died after they were swept away in a flash flood caused by monsoon rains in Karachi and high level river flood in North , Southern and Western part of Pakistan in almost all major provinces of Pakistan. Hundreds were reported to be missing in Southern Punjab and Balochistan.According to the State Disaster Management Authority, the flood had taken away thousand acres of agricultural land, livestock and also have destroyed food in all over Pakistan.
All donations to this fund will support recovery and flood and monsoon relief in Pakistan. Initially, the fund will assist survivors with their immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water and hygiene products. Once the initial relief work is completed, this fund will help local residents with rehabilitation.
