In terms of nutrition and weight loss, we need to emphasize two basic points that nutrition is the culture of eating the right foods in the right way. Let’s start with the right diet first.
All the cells and tissues in our body are formed from the food we eat. And food is also a source of energy for the functions of our body. So, this may explain why proper diet is so important.
Food is one of our strongest motivations. And unfortunately, many of us consider food to be the only source of happiness!
Our bodies are not static idols - they are always in process, which is what we call metabolism.
Due to the occurrence or production of enzymes, hormones and a thousand other wonders - the complexity of the body's perception, memory and functions is made possible by what we eat.
Our body uses carbohydrates (sweet), protein as a source of energy. More specifically, carbohydrates are the source of instant energy, while proteins are body building blocks and fats store the most energy. But these characters sometimes overlap.
And malnutrition is a common cause of illness!
In addition, with the right choices we can prevent much food related diseases like heart attack, emergency hypertension, diabetes and cancer!
A century ago, Ellen G. White shared her observation in "Councils on Diet and Foods": "Abandon thoughtful and anxious thoughts at meal times. Do not hurry, eat slowly and happily, turn to God. All His blessings. With a heart full of gratitude." Isn’t this amazing?
I would like to share with you some of our experience in nutrition and weight loss. If you have no previous experience following the general principles that I recommend when discussing reducing daily food intake, you may find it difficult to follow them, but it is only on the face.
In fact, it's so much easier than it sounds! And I promise, I will teach you how to learn it. Because following these eating habits is an important factor!
The same food or eating process can give you pleasure and life to the fullest, or on the other hand, if taken in the wrong way, it can cause great harm to your health and even shorten your life!
How can overeating or eating the wrong food be harmful? The answer is: food that our body normally cannot digest, it becomes toxic to us. So any poison shortens our life!
Therefore, I recommend that my clients practice this before they start eating, gently close your eyes for a few moments, forget about all your problems for a moment, and smile! And then you can start eating. Another recommendation is: When eating, try to close your eyes slowly (or keep your eyes away from the food being served), and slowly chew a portion of the food into your mouth.
Trust me, this process brings you so many flavors and benefits at the same time. Because doing this little thing will reduce the food you consume by three to five times !!! (As I already said)
I emphasize the importance of taking the time to eat. At lunch, if possible, create a social context to communicate with your family or friends. But! (As always, there are some "butts"). If you decide to improve your eating habits, see if the company fits well for the present, especially in the beginning. For this reason, it is best to freeze all changes first so that you can resist any temptation.
But even in difficult situations, we should never compromise on the basic principles of good nutrition. Always watch what you eat or drink !!! A well-mannered person knows how to do this without compromising on friendly relationships.
When we do this, we have the added benefit of being alert, clear thinking, and fully aware of the joyous events of life. But true happiness comes from facing reality and being patient with everything that life has to offer. If we take the time to find what is best for us and work hard to put it into practice, we can expect to be rewarded with extra energy and a longer and happier life!
Let’s take a look at the sweets. What are the common sugar groups, the most important of which is glucose. This is the most supplier of regular sugar energy. By entering the bloodstream, it meets the constant need of all cells. Due to insulin, glucose passes through the cell membrane and becomes available for use.
Also, our bodies can only properly manage regular sugars for a limited period of time. When high (if we eat a lot of sweets), the pancreas has to work extra time to produce insulin to convert the extra sugar.
Low amounts of sugar do not work, but we must remember that sugar is hidden in most processed foods and beverages. And here's the problem - we usually eat a lot more sweets than our pancreas!
How can we avoid this problem. When we plan our diet we should give priority to natural sweeteners like fruits, wheat, rice, potatoes, beans and other carbs. This is because these vegetable foods take a long time to digest, and normal sugar is released slowly. It allows our body to process this energy organically.
Recent scientific research shows that consuming too much sugar (too many sweets) can lead to the following problems:
* Constipation.
* Causes dental caries by providing an ideal culture medium in the mouth and slowing the internal fluid circulation in the teeth.
* Suppression of the immune system by interfering with the ability of white blood cells to kill germs.
* Promoting adult-onset diabetes.
Now we come to the practical application mentioned above for weight loss. The ideal diet is low in sugar except for certain fruits, and provides an abundance of the complex carbohydrates found in vegetables and whole grain pasta.
