We all know Weasel. You know, that person who threatens to undermine your organization by using all the tricks in the book to improve his career no matter how it affects others. Heroes, Staff, Whiners, and Weasels: 4 Kinds of Business Personality and How to Conduct Yourself Business Prof. Tim O'Leary looks at the refreshing variety of people we meet and how we can be treated with them. The basis of this book is that everyone is actually equal to one group of four people - Hero, Employee, Whiner, or Weasel. O'Leary describes each one as: Heroes, face change, see the possibilities, invent new things and be able to win! Employees, who deal with the ups and downs and challenges of everyday business life honestly, and who can faithfully apply the change and guidelines established by Heroes. Whiners, who go through life complaining about everything they do, claiming to have nativism and dissatisfaction wherever they go, and blaming others for their mistakes. Weasels, lurking everywhere and threatening your work and health goals with their deception and afraid, quickly spread these feelings throughout the organization. The manual is designed to help you identify which team you belong to, provide you with the tools you need to get to the group you want to belong to, and learn how to deal effectively with people in each group. The book does a really good job of forcing you to really analyze yourself. O’Leary warns you that you may not like what you are getting, but you are also quick to point out that you are in control and that you can make changes in your life to fit the group you desire. Even more fun (and exciting) is to visualize the people you know and put them in their proper categories. We’ve all experienced a Whiner or Weasel, and it helps to know what makes them notice and how to deal with them effectively so that they don’t have a negative impact on your health. O'Leary uses the analogy with the common cold - you can't get rid of Weasels in your life. But you can take steps to reduce the frequency with which they enter your life and the damage they do while they are part of it. O ’Leary uses a combination of humor with a simple heart and a strong attitude to combine a business book with a self-help book in a fun way. One chapter may focus on self-analysis, the next may be personal stories from O’Leary’s experience, and the next is about management. The book is over 200 pages long but can be read at the speed of a book that is part of it. I often found myself reading a few chapters in the area, which is proof of the writers' ability to capture the interest of readers. If there is anything wrong (and not much), it is because O’Leary is so cruel that he may mistreat other people, especially those who join the Whiner and Weasel gang. Warriors, Workers, Whiners, and Weasels: 4 Types of Business Personality and How to Conduct Them for Your Benefit Tim O'Leary should be learned from all entrepreneurs, business owners, managers, and employees who wish to learn more about them, and apply their features very good, and protect themselves from those who might ruin their work.
