How we can know the Types of Diabetes through Diabetes Symptoms?

Diabetes is a condition highlighting unusually high levels of glucose in the bloodstream of our body. Insulin, which is produced by the pancreas and is further used by the body to lower down blood glucose levels. If someone’s pancreas is disturbed and doesn’t generate enough insulin, then their body will develop diabetes.

Here is a short list of symptoms of diabetes which includes the follows:

  • v  severe hunger and thirst,
  • v  more urge to urinate,
  • v  and fatigue.

But the guaranteed way of knowing finally that whether you have diabetes is having a blood sugar test, also known as a Glucose Tolerance Test from a recognized or authentic Laboratory / Testing Centre.

Type One (1) diabetes is the major worst form. It is typically treated with special dietary restrictions, exercise and occasionally with insulin. Type 1 diabetes usually will be treated with special diet, exercise, and a weight loss plan before insulin is added. This form of diabetes is considered an insulin dependent disease.

Type Two (2) diabetes is a less severe form of diabetes. As, it is first treated with a diabetic diet, then exercise and weight loss. If these precautions are not effective in controlling your blood sugar and insulin levels then oral medications may be added. After all, Insulin is then only considered if these too are not effective and they are not able to control your blood sugar and insulin levels. Type Two (2) diabetes normally occurs in people that are above 30 years of age or you can say, who are middle age or older, that is why it is sometimes called Late-Onset Diabetes. In this case, the pancreas still produces the right levels of insulin but the body has become resistant to it and find difficulty in maintaining the proper blood sugar or insulin levels.

So, it is highly favorable to delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes for some reasonable time if it runs in the family. Anyhow, through losing weight, getting the right amount of exercise and controlling your diet, you can manage this type. If Type Two (2) diabetes is not treated at the initial stage with the precautionary measures, eventually the same complications may ensue as those seen with Type One (1) diabetes.

Another type, Gestational diabetes is often seen in pregnant women. Normally it vanishes right after the birth of the baby, perhaps, proper treatment for the mother to stabilize the blood glucose levels will lessen the chance of problems to the baby as well as mother.

Lastly, Juvenile Onset diabetes is another major form of diabetes that affects many children. It is considered to be the onset of Type One 1 diabetes. If a child is showing even a few of the symptoms of diabetes, it’s compulsory that they should be checked by a doctor. It is projected that over two million adolescents are in the pre-diabetes stage. This is generally due to being overweight. In this form, blood glucose levels are high but not high enough to be considered diabetes. Teenagers typically develop this between the ages of 12 and 19.
