Today we are living in 2024. Our whole life is surrounded by modern technology. A few decades before when technology was not so advanced, life style of people was different. They used to play, chit chat, playing with their classmates etc. They had time for their family members and relatives, but now people do not have time for their friends and family. Reason behind this is we are overly dependent on technology. Our lives are totaly circulating by technology. Even people are dependent on technology for dish washing. Our lives are changing very fast because of modern technology. As we know that technology has many benefits , but over use of technology can endanger our lives with depression and anxiety.
If we go back in 90s, People were not overly dependent on Internet and social media. They had time for playing. They had time for their family members plus for relatives and friends. Now we are overly dependent on mobile and Internet. We can not pass our time without Internet and social media. Adults spends most of the time on social media. They even do not know what is happening in adjacent room. The rays emitted from mobile and laptop screen are very harmful. If we spends most of the time on mobile and laptop, then our eyes can damage. We can go into state of illness which is very alarming. Mobile phone and laptops have made human being lazy. They do not want to do work other than using social media and Internet. By excessive use of social media and Internet chances of depression and anxiety are increasing day by day. Ratio of depression and anxiety in adults are increasing day by day.
In summer most of the people like to sit in Air condition room. They can not live without AC. In summer when we go out from AC room into sunlight, it affects our body very badly. It is because we suddenly move from cold place to hot place which is not good for human health. It can cause paralysis. This is all because we are overly dependent on modern technology. In ancient times people were not used to of AC. So it was normal for them to travel in summer, but now in modern world we can not travel on foot in summer. If we travel by a car or a bus, then we must want AC vehicle. similarly, excessive use of mobile phones are alarming. If we see here and there in our environment, then hardly we can find a man or woman not using a mobile phone. Everyone is busy in using mobile phone. Excessive use of mobile phones has increased depression up to maximum. So it is wise to use a mobile phone in needy times only.
Another over dependence is over use of vehicles. We can not move an inch without our vehicle. Vehicles are increasing day by day which are making our environment polluted. According to a survey there are 1.47 billion vehicles in the world. Every vehicle runs by burning fossil fuels like petrol, diesel and gas. When these fossil fuels burns It produce air pollution. Vehicles emit Carbon dioxide which combines with air and cause green house effect. The climate of the world is getting hotter day by day. Reason behind it is over use of vehicles. These vehicles and factories are responsible for the green house gas effect. Glaciers are melting and weather is getting unpredictable. International organization like United Nation Environment Programme and World Meteorological Organisation should take notice of these vehicles.
It is concluded that we are overly dependent on modern technology in 21st century. Overly dependent on technology is harming our lives in imperceptible way. We should limit modern technology use. We should use it in a time of need. We can make our lives better and happy by using modern technology in a limited way. A healthy and happy society can run the world smoothly. May God protect this planet Earth and give us the strength to take better and proper decisions.
