On May 9, 2025, Moscow held a major Victory Day Parade on Red Square to mark the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in World War II. Over 20 world leaders attended the parade, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, highlighting Russia’s international diplomatic efforts amid global tensions. The event was widely broadcast on Russian television and shown on large public screens throughout Moscow, allowing many citizens to view the commemoration.
