South star Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' and Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio's 'Killers of the Flower Moon' were released last week. And after four days of release, Vijay's 'Leo' has surpassed DiCaprio's movie in the box office collection.
According to a report in India Today, Thalapathy Vijay's film not only registered at the global box office but also managed to beat 'Killers of the Flower Moon' over the weekend.
Besides, the movie 'Leo' released on October 19 earned 48.5 million dollars or more than 534 crores in four days. Whereas DiCaprio's 'Killers of the Flower Moon' movie earned 44 million dollars i.e. 485 crores.
'Leo' is the third installment of director Lokeshkangaraj's Cinematic Universe'. As a result, many people think that many of the characters of the previous two movies of the universe Kaithi and Vikram will be seen in the movie 'Leo'.
Leo released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on 2D and IMAX. The Rs 300 crore budget movie also stars Trisha Krishnan, Sanjaydutt, Priya Anand, Gauthammenon and Arjun in the lead roles besides Vijay.
On the other hand, 'Killers of the Flower Moon' is based on the award-winning book 'Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI' written by Davidgrann. Apart from Leonardo DiCaprio, it also stars Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro and others.
Vijay's 'Leo' broke the record of Jawan!
