How Vedic Astrology – More On Saturn And His Aspects

In Vedic astrology, the three most distant planets of Mars, Jupiter and Saturn each make a special feature. The word feature is actually not very accurate. Like many Western words trying to convey Eastern ideas, the real word is “kristi” which means “look” or “look”. In my view, in Vedic thought, culture and cosmology - the planets are intelligent beings that have existed since time immemorial. Their movements and energy are not just as important as the "archetypes" - they represent the real forces, the eternal power of the universe over our 80 to 100 years of life. They connect us to that eternal, cosmic nature we forget here on the flat Earth we live in our daily lives. Each of these planets is a body of light that can “see” in different directions. Saturn sees 3 signs in front and 10 signs in front. That's his special look. This look reveals the essence of his nature. For Saturn living Leo will be "watching" the sign of Libra and the Sun of Taurus for the next two years, both dominated by Venus. If there are planets in Sidereal Libra or Taurus, Saturn will be watching over them. Either way, wherever those houses fall on your Sidereal / Vedic chart will be under his watchful eye. Saturn's characteristics create a problem by breaking our ideas around the things he sees. Sometimes this leads to total loss, sometimes we may worry about it or we may have to work hard to keep it. This process of worry / effort / loss that may be forcing us to deepen our commitment to it, or stop it. That’s why we often lose things when Saturn starts to move. He often pushes things in a serious place where they break or we have to work to improve ourselves. There is good news about the features of Saturn, the "appearance" of Saturn. On one occasion, Lord Shiva and Parvati after having their first child Lord Ganesh, held a party and invited all the gods, Demi Gods and Planets to join. It was a beautiful festival without one of the planets, King Saturn, looking depressed and moving around the corner (go to the drawing!) - in fact he would not even look at the beautiful Ganesh. Now, the planets are powerful - but not as powerful as the gods, especially the mighty King Shiva and Mother Shakti, Parvati. Saturn replied, "Great Goddess, your baby is beautiful and I do not want my appearance to ruin that beauty - my look is not always acceptable. "Nonsense!", Declares Parvati, "I urge you to look after my baby immediately!" At that moment King Saturn gently looks at the beautiful Ganesh. Soon Saturn looked at Ganesh, and the beautiful boys fell !! A single look from Saturn cut across Ganesh. Lord Shiva went in search of a suitable head for his position and was said to have found the head of one of Lord Indra's elephants - so Ganesh was given the elephant's head. And so it is said that the features of Saturn can be much more complex than the Saturn conjunction. .So this means that, for the past few years Saturn has been looking for signs of Sidereal Virgo and Aries. Who is that talking to?
