I recently restored the phone framework for my business. We are a small organization with simply a humble bunch of representatives in an office the size of a closed carport. We do tons of business over the phone and while we could handle the call volume with our old framework, I actually felt (and was generally educated) that it was outdated and hard to use. Realizing that this should be expedited, I advised my representatives and asked them to list the elements they believed would further increase efficiency and simplify their positions. Then I looked for phones and equipment that would solve our problems. I was quite shocked at the price of the next phone frame. I didn't realize it could be so expensive. Crippled but not crushed, I continued my search until I found a dealer who was offering the phone frame we were looking for at an extraordinary price. It was considerably cheaper than the next closest contender, so I looked a little closer. It happened that these phones were used. They weren't refurbished phones and came with a similar warranty to another phone, yet something in my mind kept me from buying used hardware. In any case, cash is cash and on the off chance that they planned to give me a similar warranty that another phone framework had, what did I need to lose. After talking to the salesman and expressing my interests, I bought the nine phones and line equipment we wanted for significantly less than what would have been spicy. The new framework has been set up for a while now and everyone is very happy with the improvement. The phones are solid and we've never dropped them. Assuming you decide sooner or later to restore your business phone system, don't count on being able to manage the cost of what you really need, look into buying used phones. You can save a lot of money, and as I've found, these are items that hold up well to everyday use. I fear the possibility that if I hadn't stumbled upon them and continued to search for the best setup, I would never have found the frame I have now and never thought about buying used gear. . Provided you find a trusted organization to manage and back up your items, new or used, you can achieve minimal outlay.
