As a manager, I once joined a publishing company and found myself in the middle of a war between departments. Product annoyed Arrange how they missed deadlines and deliver incorrect copy.

The Editorial, on the other hand, had little respect for the resulting manuscripts found at Product, full of errors and omissions. Poor team interaction, poor communication and unconventional thinking have led to positions becoming more difficult over time.

They all cared about the finished product but pressured each other unconsciously. It took time, but eventually both teams got to know each other and how they could better work together to win the winnings for the benefit of their customers.

Do you enjoy or are you afraid of the work of the committee and other departments? Do their intentions seem to be at odds with your department? When other departments contact you for help, do you take it as a nuisance, a distraction and a waste of your precious time? Do you see the great potential that helps them to solve their problems or to meet their needs? You can be proud of the opportunities to help other departments look good. I found them happy and excited when they started the shifts, like when they finished their shifts. That is moral, and it tells me that they love their work. It's contagious! Sometimes I get jealous of that shuttle when I know I'm going to get into our competitor's ticket counter.
