So let's talk about how toppers make their timetable and what strategies they make to achieve their goal, and on that basis, you can make your timetable convenient to you.
So before going to the topic of how toppers make their timetable, it is important to know WHY WE NEED A TIMETABLE??
So, we need a timetable to have a look at our goal and focus on our goal. You can imagine it like without a timetable, you are just walking on a path, and you don't even know where this path will take you.
So, we can conclude that timetable is essential to achieve our goal.
Now before making a timetable, we should keep the following things in our mind:
Before making a timetable, we should make our LONG TERM GOALS and our SHORT TERM GOALS.
Now long-term goals depend on you that how much bigger can you think. But as a student you should have your 1-year plan with you. for example you want to achieve 90% in your final exams. Now, as a whole, if you want to achieve 90% in your finals, that means you should receive atleast 94% or 96% in your half-yearly and other small exams. So this is your long-term goal.
If you want to achieve 90%, it should be in your mind how much time you will take to cover the syllabus and how many revisions are required. And on that basis, you have to make your timetable. Now it should be in your mind how many portions of the syllabus you should complete in 1 month, which is your monthly goal. And it should be in your mind that how many portions of the syllabus you should cover daily. This will be your daily goal.
HOW DO TOPPERS MAKE THEIR TIMETABLE??
Finally coming to our topic that how toppers make their timetable.
So before writing this article, I have read the interviews of toppers of IAS, IIT, IIM, and AIIMS to know what tasks or strategies are common in them to make our timetable on that base. So, after analyzing their interviews, I saw these 3 points in the timetable of all these toppers. and that is:
~SLEEP
~STRESS BUSTER
~SLOTS OF TIME
SLEEP: Sleep is a significant factor in achieving your goal. Sleeping is not laziness. You can think of it as a charger. When you see you get charged and the study you do after asleep is a very effective type of study because you are fresh after getting charged by sleeping. But it would help if you kept in mind not to overcharge yourself. Like you are just laying on your bed and watching the clock, so this is time wastage.
STRESS BUSTER: So, it is seen in the timetable of every topper that they do some activities which release their stress. Some toppers use social media for this, and some play video games or do some other work through which their stress can be released. But these activities are done minimally, i.e., a maximum of 1 hour a day.
SLOTS OF TIME: Toppers do not make their timetable like this "I will study maths from 9:00-10:00 and physics from 11:00-12:00." NO! they make their timetable like "today I will have to complete this portion of physics in 2 hours, this portion of English in 1 hour, etc." and they make their slots like this convenient to them.
Before ending the article, I will share a point by which you can do your TIME MANAGEMENT.
1. Whenever you sometimes get even if you get 15 minutes or you're traveling somewhere, you can study there if you have the material you can study. You can memorize the topics and questions you have done while coming from tuitions. Or you can memorize your lecture while you are in your bed. Instead of thinking stupid things, you can memorize the things you have studied, counted in your study time.
