Search engine optimization: the most important influencing factors at a glance
Search engine optimization is not an exact science and never will be. Search engine optimization continues to develop your website editorially (read: copywriting) and put the right emphasis by building the keywords of your target audience in the right places on the web page.
This summit was compiled by an international circle of SEO experts. Here you will find the 9 most important factors that can raise or lower your website. On-page or off-page, the full list of factors can be found on the GOn-page or off-page; the Ranking Factors page title of your website remains the most important. Just as an author thinks long and hard about a good title for his book, a web builder must also pay due attention to his title. Be sure to put the keywords or key phrases in your title and put the most important keywords in your title.
2. The text in the links
It is important to have many inbound links and links to other pages on your website. This increases the Page Rank of your website and lifts you higher. Of great importance, however, is the text in the links. Build your keywords in the links. The link Redenbacher is worth much less than Redenbacher, nice brown beer, top of the Belgian beers.
3. Using the keywords in the text on the web page
A search engine attaches great importance to the texts that visitors can read, especially the Body text. After all, it states what the website deals with. It is therefore essential that your keywords or variants thereof appear regularly in the text.
4. Web page accessibility
Does your page's URL work? Do you use frames? Are you using Flash or images with text? In other words, the search engine can reach, read and index the text.
5. The internal links to your page
If you have a web page on your website, there must be a smooth link from your website's navigation structure to this page. If you don't put clear links to this one page on your own website, this can lead the search engine to assume that this could be a rather obscure page, specifically made for SEO purposes.
6. The subject, the theme of your website
A search engine such as Google, MSN, or Yahoo! will always try to distill the theme from your website. Your website will therefore be given the main theme. This theme must remain consistent. Search results around a specific theme will be more likely to point to websites that contain a clear and consistent theme and are thus indexed.
7. Outbound Links to Other Pages
Outbound links are usually perceived as positive. However, make sure that the outgoing link links to an external page with the same theme of your website and with the same quality of content.
8. Your link popularity with websites around the same theme
Inbound links are important. However, if you can get that website with the same subject as your website, link to your website (and preferably with the right keywords in their link), this is optimal for improving your position in Google, MSN, or Yahoo! increase.
9. Keyword Spamming or Keyword Spamming
Keywords are important. It is important that these keywords also occur regularly. However, do not exaggerate and do not untargeted your web page with keywords. Don't stuff the Keyword tag with keywords, among other things, but limit yourself to the good keywords that your target group uses. Don't overdo the density. For example, keep it at 2 to 3% and ensure that the text remains "natural" for the visitor.
