How to worship Lord Ganesha on chaturthi

On the auspicious day of Ganesha Chaturthi (also called Vinayaka Chaturthi), during which Lord Ganesha is worshiped using all sixteen rituals, Vedas are chanted. The sixteen rites of Shodashopachara Puja are used to worship the Gods.

Even though Ganesha can be worshipped throughout Pratahkala, Madhyahnakala, and Sayankala, Madhyahnakala is the most recommended for Ganesha Chaturthi Puja. Ganesha Chaturthi Puja Muhurat provides the Madhyahnakala Puja timing for Ganesha Puja. Along with the sixteen rituals and four vedas that are required for this Puja, the following rituals are also carried on commonly. Sankalpa and Deep-Prajawalan are performed prior the puja.

Everywhere in India, Ganesh Chaturthi is observed with great devotion. To commemorate the holiday and worship the Lord in a unique way, people bring Ganesh statues home. Depending on their commitment or family custom, some people maintain the idol for a day and a half, while others keep it for 5 to 11 days.

The idol is customarily carried out in a parade with fanfare on the final day of worship and submerged in flowing water.

The items listed below are necessary for Ganesh Chaturthi Puja:

-An idol of Lord Ganesh, preferably one made of eco-friendly materials so that you can observe Ganesh Chaturthi sustainably.

-Sandalwood paste or chandan.

-preferably Hibiscus blossoms in the color red.

-sticks of incense.

-Durva weed.

-Modaks or any homemade confection after a bath and without having eaten anything.

-a few fruit.

-a Chaurang, or raised table, on which to set the idol.

-a tablecloth, as well as accessories like lights, to decorate it.

-Diya is lit for Aarti in front of the idol.

To perform Lord Ganesh's Puja properly, many families invite Pandits or Brahmins to perform Ganesh Chaturthi Puja in their residence. You require two things for any Puja or Vrat: cleanliness and commitment. You can obtain Lord Ganesh's blessings by doing this.

Take a shower and clean your home. Put on clean clothes and prepare for the pooja.

Prepare the coconut or banana leaves for the Ganesh mandap. You can also decorate it with flowers and mango leaves. Some people use Ashoka tree leaves to decorate it.

Near the Lord Ganesh image is a pot with rice and water in it.

Place the Ganesh idol now while chanting "Om Ganeshay Namah."

Chanting the 108 names will begin the Puja.

Chant the 108 names of Lord Ganesh or easy Ganesh mantras to begin the puja.

Sing songs that are specifically devoted to Ganesh or perform Ganesh Aarti while lighting the Diya or lamp and performing Aarti for the Lord.

Ganesh Chaturthi Puja rituals

In this puja, the number 21 has special meaning, thus people present 21 Modaks and blades of Durva grass. The number 21 denotes the mind, five sense organs, five motor organs, five vital airs, and five elements.

You can be flexible when celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi Puja at home, though. All you need is a healthy body and mind, but devotion is what matters most. So, instead of putting effort on the arrangements it's better to do the puja with full devotion.
