How To Wake Up at 5 A.M. Every Day

I thought that I was destined to be a night owl forever.

I am no stranger to reading about the benefits of getting up early or having the same sleep routine - we may all read this at some point in our lives. I was in the last semester of my university, so my life had absolute chaos in the past few years. I have a class a few days, work other days, and have free time, stormy days. Having a routine seems impossible.

But a few months ago, I began reading Haruki Murakami's novel. My favorite is Norwegian wood. Inspired by the enchanting Murakami prose, I studied him a little.

I found this gem in the interview in 2004 he did:

When I was writing a fashion for the novel, I woke up at four and worked five to six hours. In the afternoon, I ran for ten kilometers or swam for fifteen hundred meters (or did both), then read a little and listened to music. I went to bed at 9 pm.

I keep my routine every day without variations. The repetition itself is essential; This is a form of mesmerism. I captivate myself to achieve a more profound mind condition.

But to maintain a repetition for so long - six months to one year - requires a good amount of mental and physical strength. In that case, you are writing a long novel like survival training—physical strength as needed by artistic sensitivity.

There is something about how to talk to Murakami about the routine that moves me. This section, in particular, stands out for me:

The repetition itself is essential; This is a form of mesmerism.

Mesmerism has become part of my life since I was little; This is the feeling I have every time I build new habits. I captivate myself as a child to brush my teeth every day in the morning. As an adult, I have attracted myself to be healthy by exercising regularly. I have tempted myself to reflect on my life by adding a routine journal.

The motivational wave surprised me, and I learned that I had done a similar task in the past. I can be an early bird with my attractiveness.

Over the past three months, I have succeeded in transitioning to be an early bird. I slept nine nights. On average, 6-7 nights a week. I am currently awake between 5-5: 30 in the morning. Naturally.

I might continue to experiment with getting up even before, but I am happy with my current routine and don't want to put too much pressure on myself. After all, it's healthy to sleep 8 hours.

I have tried to be an early bird many times in my life, and this is the first time he succeeded. This is the process of "charming" itself looks and a few words about what doesn't work ok.

What works is softer than you expect. Consider this, then, a loving guide to getting up early in the morning.

Clarify your goals to get up early

Wake up before everyone is difficult. If you do not have a reason to do this, you won't do it.
I don't just mean the meantness in the sense that you want to wake up to do something. Of course, you will wake up early to do something (maybe productive). But it would help if you had a goal that goes beyond basic tasks.
I will graduate from the university, and I will enter the most critical years in my life - a year where I will have money and freedom. If I want the opportunity to escape at 9-5, I have to do something now. Working in the morning is more accessible than working at night, so I need to set my habits now to live that life later.
