After a long 4 months gap, finally, valorant came with its new agent Kayo, an initiator in-game. Basically, an initiator is responsible for gathering information about opponents' positions and guiding the path of opponents in the game. In simple words, they help other players get information about the enemy's position and moment throughout the game. The community has been doing many experiments on this new agent and came with new versions of gameplay of their own.
Users have to activate it now from their agents to unlock it at tier 5 and get great awards from other tiers.
- Kayo’s (Fragment): An explosive sticks to the floor and explodes multiple times, dealing lethal damage near the center with each explosion.
It’s a bomb that keeps on exploding, decreasing 20hp of the opponent standing in mid of the explosion circle; with an increase in distance from the mid part of the explosion circle, the damage decreases.
Kayo can use it to clear entry points or positions where it suspects enemies. It makes the enemy either fall back or took immense damage at those positions if they are struck. It takes a minimum of 4s to open and throw, and it detonates for the 20s in the middle portion and 8s at the edge portion. Its cost is 200 points in the game. Players can have only 1 Fragment ability in-game.
- Kayo’s Flash/Drive: It is a grenade that is used to blind enemies on site. Kayo even got a bouncing flash like you, and it has been a long while valorant is trying to achieve a traditional bouncing way of flashing as of other fps games like csgo rather than special flashes as in the case of omen, breach, or Reyna. Yoru’s flash can’t blind someone if it doesn’t bounce, but no worries, this new agent flash can blind. It's as normal and as powerful as required.
It takes 1 second to open the flash and 1.6 s atleast to throw the flash. Its cost is 250 points in-game to purchase. Players can have at max 2 flash drives in-game.
- Kayo’s Zero/Point: It is one of the most exciting abilities this new agent has. It is a blade that sticks to any wall it is thrown and spreads a suppression wave. Whoever got stuck with this it suppresses them. It informs the player’s position after suppressing, and it makes the player vulnerable to get attacked.
The main twist comes when its wave spreads across a player; they cannot use their abilities for a period of 40s. It is given for free, and the user can have a max of 1 zero-point in-game.
Kayo’s Ultimate Ability:
NULL/CMD: Instantly overload with polarize radiant energy that pulse out of Kayo in a massive location. Enemies hit with this pulse get suppressed for a duration of 15s. Kayo gets combat stim and can be stabilized if downed. When it is hit an immense number of times during destabilized his body gets destroyed. Destabilized Kayo falls when attacked during his ult, and enemies can revive it like PUBG after his ult from his destabilized state to normal. If before dying he can be traded or protected, its ultimate can give it a new life.
Kayo needs 7 points to activate its ult, which is very high, and its ult is similar to its zero/point except for its combat sti,m, which is not that kind of a good ul,t I think, but taking abilities from players make it worth using.
Kayo was in meta and finally launched in the new act 3 episode 1, so players have to play it a lot to find out new tips and tricks on efficiently using Kayo and till then, enjoy this blog on basic understanding of the use of Kayo.
