Part 1: How to Make Money on Related ebooks without selling them
Part 2: How to use ebook and eBay to build your mailing list
Part 3: How to use ebooks to drive more visitors to your site
This section will look at the easiest and most cost-effective way to get laser-guided prospects on your mailing list.
First, let's recap the first part; we learned there that we do not need to make money from the first ebook sale to benefit from the ebook.
Keep this in mind as we move on to the next dialogue.
eBay is a site that helps bring buyers and sellers together in a safe and secure environment so that they can buy and sell a variety of goods and services, either in the form or in a fixed-price format.
The preferred payment system used there is Paypal. Paypal is an amiable and highly secure online money transfer service.
Here's what we do:
1. List the ebook under the various categories, select categories that have specific links to the topic and others that are freely linked. For example, an ebook on online marketing may be written under the section; books / online information/marketing products; this can be direct communication. A freely connected section can be something like that; All Other / Education & Learning / Adult & Career Education / Personal Development / Personal Development / Personal Finance. An easy way to find relevant categories is to use the search category option as you count; it gives you recommendations to choose from.
2. We also need to play around with the topic, using different titles in all our listings; we should include the words and phrases people will use when they search more often and include them in the title.
3. List the ebook as a 10-day auction and give the 'buy now' option. Be sure to set a ‘buy now price at a level that includes our money if we wish to do this free advertising campaign.
4. We need to create an HTML formatted sales letter. Do this by creating a page in an HTML composer like Mozilla or a cup of coffee or another composer. Explain all the details about the book and what it contains etc. Then at the end of the description, add the default responder! That customers can use it to ask for more information about the product. We must ensure that the redirect page returns the customer to eBay. This is important because eBay has stringent policies regarding links that remove people from their site.
5. We can now play around with the sales book to make it more attractive for people to enter their details; some of the things we could use are; get a free report, get some offers and updates, get more details and free edition, etc. we need to be creative here.
6. If our ebook sells without access to opportunities, that is the best way to pay for our expenses and share our links. (see the first part of this series) We can go ahead and rewrite it and then start over again!
That's all there is to it! It doesn't take long to set up, and once it is in place, we can easily simplify the listing and move on to this strategy.
Not only is it limited to eBay it is also possible to use any other auction sites available online today.
