How to use Bitcoin Lightning Network on Exodus Wallet | Exodus Tutorial

The Lightning Network operates as a layer 2 protocol on top of the Bitcoin network. Decentralized and peer-to-peer, it makes sending and receiving Bitcoin, including micropayments, private and fast, with super low fees. If your Lightning wallet doesn’t appear automatically, enable it by tapping on Dashboard, then Settings, and under Advanced, toggle on Lightning Network. When you first open Lightning, read and accept the terms and conditions, then it’s off to the races. Lightning in Exodus is powered by Wallet of Satoshi, which is a custodial solution that allows you to use the Lightning Network without setting up your own node.  So there’s no additional backup needed or account setup required. Transfer Bitcoin from your Exodus Bitcoin wallet to your Lightning wallet in just a few taps. For now, you can deposit up to a hundred US dollars. Tap Deposit, then enter an amount by adjusting the slider, or type an amount manually either in fiat currency or in Bitcoin. Finally, tap Add. Your funds will arrive as soon as the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain! You can receive Bitcoin from another Lightning wallet . Tap on Receive, and tap on the invoice to copy it or scan the QR code. You can also share the invoice by tapping the Share button and using the app of your choice. You have the option to specify an amount you’d like to receive. You can also add a public note. If you’d like to send Bitcoin on the Lightning Network, tap on Send, and enter the Lightning invoice. You can scan an invoice’s QR code by tapping on the QR code icon. Keep in mind that invoices expire after 24 hours. Look at the network fee to have your mind blown by how tiny it is. You can withdraw Bitcoin from your Lightning wallet at any time by tapping withdraw and selecting the Exodus portfolio where you’d like to send your Bitcoin. You can see the withdrawal fee by tapping on Advanced. You can see your entire transaction history by tapping on the History icon. If you’re curious, tap on a specific transaction to see all the details. Tap Deposit, then enter an amount by adjusting the slider, or type an amount manually either in fiat currency or in Bitcoin. Finally, tap Add. Your funds will arrive as soon as the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain! You can receive Bitcoin from another Lightning wallet by generating a Lightning invoice. Tap on Receive, and tap on the invoice to copy it or scan the QR code. You can also share the invoice by tapping the Share button and using the app of your choice. You have the option to specify an amount you’d like to receive. You can also add a public note. Because  transactions are off-chain, they are private, meaning that the details are not broadcast on-chain.
