The bottom line: despite COVID-19 health concerns, travelers are filled with wanderlust, with 77 percent having favorable feelings toward travel. They're also more ecologically sensitive than ever, with 73 percent prepared to pay up to $22 extra per day for an eco-friendly car rental  Travelers increasingly want mobile apps that make booking easier and give them control over their entire schedule. The travel industry, as well as travelers themselves, have had to adapt and change in the previous two years, said Cormack Barry, CEO of Car Traveler. Beyond the pandemic, the industry must recognize and adapt to the behaviors of today's travelers people are more tech- and environmentally-savvy, and they expect the brands they interact with to be the same. Meanwhile, more than a third of respondents (37%) want more policy clarity.  Surprisingly, new laws and regulations, like as cleaning, have given 34 percent of travelers more confidence in flying, and 41% believe flying now feels safer and cleaner than previously. Sixty percent of passengers whose most recent journey was more than a year ago express fear. They  have become more habituated to using cloud services and applications over the course of the pandemic, especially with the transition to remote and hybrid work. The travel industry should adapt to this transition by providing travelers with additional convenience and flexibility alternatives. They asked which mode of transportation they preferred, air travel narrowly edged out personal vehicles.
