How to Transfer files between iPhone and your computer?

If you have an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4 or later or an iPad, you can use iTunes to transfer files between your computer and your device using file-sharing apps. You can use this method too, for example, save files you created on your device to your computer, or take your files with you and use them when you are not around your computer.

You can use an I cloud drive to keep your files up to date and available on all your devices, including a Windows PC. You can also transfer files between iPhone and other devices using airdrop or as email attachments.

You can also transfer files from apps that support file sharing by connecting iPhone to a Mac (with a USB port and OS X 10.9 or later) or a Windows PC (with a USB port and Windows 7 or later).

Transferring files between PC and iOS devices has always been the devil's errand. It's especially irksome when it comes to big files like the new season of your favorite TV show, photo albums, and so on. Imagine you can pair your computer and iPhone within seconds and transfer anything you desire. Sounds like magic, right? Kind of, but we call it technology.

Transfer files between iPhone and your Mac

1. Connect the iPhone to your Mac.
2. You can connect via USB, or if you've set up sying over wifi, you can use it.
3. In the Finder sidebar on your Mac, select your iPhone.
4. Note: To use the Finder to transfer files, macOS 10.15 or later is required. With older versions of macOS, use iTunes to transfer files.
5. At the top of the Finder window, click Files and do one of the following:

• • Transfer from Mac to iPhone: Drag a file or select files from a Finder window to an app name in the list.
  • Transfer from iPhone to Mac: Click the disclosure triangle next to an app's name to view its files on your iPhone, and then drag one into the Finder window.

To delete a file from the iPhone, select it under an app name, press Command + Delete, and click Delete.

Transfer files between iPhone and your Windows PC

1. Install or update to the latest version of iTunes on your PC.
2. See the Apple Support article "update the latest version of iTunes ."
3. Connect your iPhone to your Windows PC.
4. You can connect via USB, or if you've set up sying over wifi, you can use it.
5. In iTunes on your Windows PC, click the iPhone button near the top left of the iTunes window.
6. Click "Share files," choose an app from the list, and do one of the following:

• • Transfer a file from iPhone to computer: select the file you want to transfer from the list on the right, click "Save to," select the location where you want to save it and click "Save to."
  • Transfer a file from computer to iPhone: Click Add, choose the file you want to transfer, and select Add.

To delete a file from your iPhone, select it, press the Delete key, and click Delete.

The file transfer happens immediately. To see the items transferred to the iPhone, go to the "On my iPhone" section in the Files app on the iPhone. 

Important: syncing does not affect file transfers, so syncing doesn't keep files transferred on iPhone up to date with files on your computer.
