Halloween probably has more parties than any other day, secondly maybe in the New Year. People of all ages love to dress up and pretend to be someone else all night long. Many people end up with more than one invitation to Halloween parties and have to choose one of them to attend. When you think of having a Halloween party, how do you convince people to choose yours over others? Artistic, unique theme is the first step. Most people do not plan a theme without "wear costume" on Halloween. Simply giving your party a more vivid theme will help them stand out from the crowd. You can choose the type of Hallowen "ghost" party and make everyone come as their favorite ghost, character in a horror movie or monster. A spooky party is likely to be one of the easiest to find party and decoration, as that is usually the most common Halloween theme. There are many other themes you can try, though. What about a popular wedding party, where everyone comes in as a famous couple? Or maybe the night of a movie theme, where everyone comes in as their favorite Star Wars character for example. Other theme ideas include: - crazy hat party - decade party (60, 70's, 80's, etc.) - murder mystery - favorite cartoon character - sea party - "next" party (everyone comes as they do for themselves in 25 years, for example) When planning your party, one of the most important things is the menu. Food is always an important part of any team. It can be full food or just finger food, but be creative with what you have to offer. Try to make food the theme of the party. For example, you can make women's fingers look like cut fingers. If you start planning your party early, you will have more time to plan everything. Get some help from friends or family when you need it, and remember - planning a party is half the fun! Holidays are a stressful time. Among the extra work, extra traffic, and the pressure to spend money - even the smartest mom will be questioning her sensitivity as the holidays approach.
Here are a few ideas that can help you to keep your mind active during this holiday season.
Make a list (and double check it). Keep your shopping list in your wallet to avoid frustration or worse - overspending. If you walk into a store and are intrigued by all the glitter, I can tell you. I am so frustrated that I do not get anything done. But, as the Holidays are just around the corner, I often switch to "SuperMarket Sweep" mode and start throwing everything in my cart (whether I really need it or not). Having a list can help you fight this craving, keep you healthy - and help your budget stay healthy in the system.
As soon as you start shopping, start packing. There is nothing more stressful than facing a mountain of uncircumcised gifts two days before Christmas. Save on paper bills by buying them after the holidays each year and save them for next year. Make sure you attach the gift tags as you wrap. If you wrap it up a month in advance, you will not be able to remember exactly what that happy rectangular box is, let alone its own.
To save time and mind, gifts go together on the same page. For example, wrap all the gifts that will go with your mother-in-law on Christmas Eve with red paper and gingerbread men. And put all the gifts for your friends and neighbors on the blue paper with snowflakes, etc.
