How to take care of our physical health?

Set a Lifestyle

Even though our professional life has been hit hard and most of us are working from home, it is important that we set a routine for ourselves and stick to it. Having a routine reduces stress and improves mental health. It is better if your routine includes helping children in their studies, completing office work from home, cooking, doing other household chores, and health measures like asanas, exercises, pranayama, etc.

Eat healthy food and have fixed meal times.

Healthy eating is essential. Drink more water instead of sugary beverages, reduce the use of sodium and salt in your diet. Cook food with less ghee, oil, and butter. Eat seafood instead of high-fat meats, eat more vegetables and fruits. Staying at home can also affect your eating habits. Research suggests that eating irregular and irregular meals can hurt your health. While at home, you are advised to maintain your meal routine.

Finish your sleep

Try to fulfill the amount of sleep you used to regularly because adequate sleep is essential. Set a normal bedtime and wake-up time for every day. This will allow you to sleep better and feel refreshed when you wake up in the morning. Evidence suggests that people who do not get enough sleep have more mental and physical problems. Lack of sleep can also aggravate your existing mental and physical health problems. If you get enough sleep (7 to 9 hours for adults) at night, it will improve your learning ability, memory, mood, and heart health, as well as improve your immunity.

Exercise / Yoga

These days you are definitely at home, but it is essential to stay active and continue physical activities. Exercise and yoga can improve both your physical and mental health. Even if going outside is not allowed, there are many exercises that you can easily do indoors, such as standing jumps, bench squats, or push-ups. If there is no restriction on this in your area, you can go out and take a walk. Or instead of sitting in one place inside the house, try to keep walking in a limited place inside for some time. If you want, you can also include some weight lifting in your exercise. For this, if there are no dumbbells etc., then you can use a water bottle or can. Similarly, yoga can be done even in a small room.

Many people are doing office work from home these days. If you or any family member is doing this, you can adopt some of the remedies given below. This allows him to increase his productivity while working in this new environment-

Do homework

Set your workplace within your limited space at home. Whether it is an empty guest room or a corner of your dinner table, this will give you the feeling of being in the office or at work. At the same time, the difference between home and office work will also remain. If this place has some natural light, fresh air, a couple of plants, or a view of the outdoors, then it will improve your mood and keep your creativity and productivity.

While working, make sure to stand up for at least a minute or two every hour. Sitting for a long time can reduce your body's metabolism, which will hurt your health. Standing for a few minutes, stretching, walking will increase your focus on work.

Do not forget to spend time with your loved ones; take the time to read the book that has been lying in the cupboard for months. Take the time to cook, clean, and exercise. You can also schedule weekly video chats with relatives and friends.

Cook something new. Try something new instead of just thinking about the immediate problem! Try a new art, which effectively reduces stress, increases creativity, relieves anxiety and depression, and maintains memory in the elderly.
