10-15 minutes is enough for morning, evening or pre-activity stretches. The following sections provide brief examples. Plenty of books and videos are available for more details.

The most basic stretches can be done while sitting. Start with your neck. Look towards your belly. Then slowly turn your head to the left, and then you can look up, right and back to the ceiling. You should feel a stretch in your neck muscles. A similar movement can be performed with the wrist. When sitting, use your wrist to move your closed arm in a circle. Then lift each leg up and make the same circle with the feet around the ankles. Make such 3-5 circles clockwise and then counterclockwise with your neck, two wrists and two ankles.

Move to the calf muscle. Find a wall, chair, stability ball or anything you think is safe. Bend your right foot back two feet while leaning comfortably on the object. Slowly bend your left knee so that your right ankle is bent. You should feel a stretch in the muscles behind your lower right leg. Stretch and release for 30 seconds. Repeat the exercise with your left calf.

The best way to stretch the front of the upper leg (quadriceps) is to lie on a flat surface (floor, bed, mat, etc.). Lie on your left side, on the surface of your left elbow, and with your left hand supporting your head, pull your right leg behind you so that the knee is as close as possible. Reach back with your right hand and hold your right leg. Pull your leg towards your back until you feel the muscles stretch. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds. Do the same stretch for your right leg.

For basic shoulder stretching, hold your arms behind your back and slowly raise them. You will feel a stretch in your shoulder muscles. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds.
