A yellow alert has been sounded in North Andra Pradesh and South Odisha. Citizens are requested not to exit their homes during the Cyclone. Landfalls are expected post cyclonic eruption. People who have houses built near banks or rivers or near coastal areas are evacuated as per guidelines issued by the Government of the respective states.

Do Not Travel During Cyclone
Due to this cyclonic weather, 28 train schedules have been called off and won't be running as usual, and some trains have been diverted to lesser affected areas. Do not use personal means of transport or leave home during cyclonic winds as the winds are blowing at a speed of 44 knots and can hurt you with flying objects.
Do Not Stand Under 'Kaccha' Structure
Do not stand in front of any 'Kaccha Makan' or Uncomplete Structures. Do not stand near electric poles! The winds can take down the entire bar and can electrocute you within a fraction of seconds. Anything not correctly might not be able to withstand a Cyclone. A Cyclone passing by can leave massive rubble of destruction behind itself.
Keep Subtle Reserve of These Things
As the Cyclone hits, the lights are supposed to go off amid Cyclone Gulab. Furthermore, Lights might not come back quite soon as Trees and Electric-poles might have fallen and, Light might not come back for the next few hours or days depending on the destruction caused by the Cyclone. People are advised to keep a subtle reserve of packed food containers which can last for 2-3 days but Do Not Overstock. It's always a wise decision to keep First-Aid Box near your immediate reach. Keep a functioning Torch with you and Avoid using your inverter's reserve power as they can be instrumental in times of emergency (if it occurs). Do Not use your phone as you need to reserve your phone's battery for emergency purposes. Do Not Tempt by social media and refrain from using it.
Do Not Spread Hoax
Citizens are Advised to follow the protocols, as guided by the local authorities. Do not Spread Hoax to gain popularity as it might get you in serious trouble. Report the incident to local authorities as it is. Look for your surroundings to check if someone is missing; immediately inform the local authorities. If you are stuck, please wait patiently for your turn to be rescued and do not panic. Panicking in these situations can be very hazardous. Stay Calm, and Think Wisely. Any horrible decision in such cases can be fatal.

Cyclone Gulab is causing Increased rainfall activity in states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Some Areas of Tamil Nadu have experienced increased rainfall in the past 24 hours. Moderate rainfalls have been a witness in Odisha this following Sunday morning.
