How to stay positive

 

Hello everyone How are you So today I will tell you about how to stay positive. Whenever we say positive, many people relate happiness with positive,  but that is not at all relevant thing. There are many ways which help us to stay positive in life.

1.          We have to accept where we are, 

You cannot change the way of your thinking if you can’t identify the problem. You have to accept your negative thoughts and feelings and that you can’t enjoy how you are responding to them.

2.          Write down your goals so that you can achieve with time 

When we make goals, it gives a positive outlook on life. If we set a realistic goal, we can feel more confident immediately,  and it helps in boosting your self-efficacy. Set the meaningful goals which align with your values and help you in achieving them to move forward in life.  

·    Start working on your goals in parts. Don’t expect to achieve it in a day or night. You have to move slowly and steadily to achieve the goals

·    Keep your goals based on your action. Remember,  you can’t control it

3.          Practice loving-kindness meditation 

This meditation is also known as compassion meditation. Meditation also help us to think positive in life.

·    It turns out that this meditation is also good for your mental health. Studies show that compassion meditation helps in decreasing meditation,  and it also helps to extend compassion to yourself.

 

4.          Keep a journal 

Research suggest that there is a mathematical formula to stay positive which is three positive emotions for every negative emotion which keeps you in healthy balance.

·    Keeping a journal should be more than just a list of things you don’t like.

· Instead write down what you felt without judging it either good or bad

5.          Practice active gratitude, 

share your gratitude with others. It can inspire to share the positive things in people you share with others

Gratitude is more than a feeling. Dozens of people shown that gratitude is good for you. Gratitude helps you feel more positive and enhance your relationship with others.

·   

6.          Use affirmation 

It may seem at little cheesy,  but research suggested that they work on a fundamental level,  but they can actually form new positive thought

·    Choose affirmations that are personally meaningful to you.

·    If you are struggling in a particular area,  try actively finding positive things

7.          Cultivate optimism 

Research in 1970 discovered that the people who have won the lottery. It improves your self-esteem, overall sense of well-being and relationship with others.

·    It is a way of interpreting the world.

·    An optimistic outlook would approach the situation something like this. That big cello recital is next week,  and I am not happy with where I am right now. I am going to practice for an extra hour every day until the recital and just do my best.

·    There’s a big difference between true optimism and blind optimism. Blind optimism expect that you pick up the cello for the first time and get admitted in some school. This is some realistic and some expectations will leave you disappointed.

8.          Refrain from negative experiences 

Now the people do this mistake frequently,  they try to avoid or ignore negative experiences. This make sense on some level because they are painful. If we repress or ignore these experiences, they damage our ability to deal with them.

 

The list of positive influences is bigger. They are:

1.          Use law of attraction 

Our own thoughts were positive or negative,  like magnets. If we avoid dealing with the problem,  it continues as it is or get worse. Our own negativity rules the day but if we think positive the more proactive, we will be.

2.          Do things you love to do   

It may sound simple,  but it is really hard to execute sometimes. Your life may be very busy,  but you have to carve some tasks into your day which consistently make you happy. When you do something which you love,  then it will distract you from sadness or negativity. Some positive activities are

·    Listening to music

·    Reading

·    Sports hobbies

·    Being with friends and happy.

3.          Surround yourself with friends     

Appreciate the people who stand with you in the tough times. Friends help each other in both good and bad times

·     Studies show that people who surround themselves with friends who have similar values are more likely to feel happy and positive about their  lives

·    Interacting with people you love to  cause your brain to release neurotransmitters that make you feel happy and relax

4.          Show compassion to others,

Compassion is doing something kind for someone,  even the person has less privileged than you have. This really boost your positivity

·    Try tutoring, volunteering or ask your church to get involved in it.

 ·     Try giving little gifts to people around you,  even to  strangers. Send something to a friend you made with him. By giving gifts,  it creates a dopamine in your brain.

5.          See a therapist 

There is a common misperception that people need to see a counselor or therapist when there is something wrong. But consider that you go to the dentist for cleaning when there is no cavity in your mouth, you go to the doctor for annual checkup even you are not ill. Seeing a therapist is also a very helpful technique and if you want to understand how to be more positive seeking help from the therapist is a great option. It helps to identify unhelpful pattern in your behavior and develop new positive strategies.
