There are a number of different reasons why people choose to study for their children at home: there is an economic benefit to avoiding private high school fees; there is the convenience of scheduling school time among other family activities etc.., One of the most important benefits of homeschooling is the flexibility with which you can adjust your child's education. It is a well-known fact that everyone has their own needs, and homeschooling allows you to create a learning environment that is most appropriate for your child.
When studying at home, it is important to have a clear curriculum and a mindset and a plan of action. But within that framework, you must understand that you have a great deal of flexibility: there are many ways a child can learn something, and many things he or she can learn in a particular subject.
One of the best ways you can ensure a high level of literacy is to encourage your child to take a personal interest in his or her education. While this may seem obvious, most people who grow up who go even though the regular school system will probably agree that their education is well received: your education and education were something that was done to you, not to you.
However, when you study at home, you can take advantage of the endless flexibility you have and let your child play an active role. While you would not, obviously, allow your child to do whatever he or she wants academically, you should always explain to him or her the education system provided, and see what he or she thinks.
For example, when you start your school day, describe the day plan with your child. Depending on his age you can also explain the reasons that lead to this program. If there are things that a child feels they are reluctant to do, try to take them seriously. You should not, of course, avoid certain subjects or activities just because your child does not like them. You should, however, ask your child why he or she does not like something in the daily routine, and suggest alternatives. In many cases you will be pleasantly surprised by what your child comes up with, and you will be able to incorporate them into the day's work.
As far as possible, you should have a list of other options in mind for assigned tasks. The idea is to try and think of other things that accomplish the same task. If your child resists certain exercises, you can give him or her an alternative. This can be very effective in getting your children to learn things that they do not like.
In many cases the child simply feels that he or she is in control of the situation so that he or she can enjoy it. Even if you eventually control your child’s education, by giving him small grants and choices, while sticking to the big picture, everyone wins: your child feels like they are doing what they want to do, and you are still teaching your child what you want. he wants her to learn.
