Similarly, Google.com is also a website, but we don’t find any articles as it is a search engine website. So, we can’t consider it a blog. Now, think of Instagram, which is a video and photo-sharing platform. In the blog, we also find photos and videos. But, Instagram can’t be called a blog as its features are not similar to a blog site.

What is the hosting, domain, and sub-domain?
Web hosting can be defined as a place or a computer where your blog's data is stored online. Web hosting is not always free. But, many companies provide it for free.
The domain is the name or address of a website with an extension(like .com) through which people can access your website. Example of domain:- facebook.com. Domains are also not always free. You have to spend your money to grab it. However, some companies provide a free domain for a limited time.
Sub-domain:- Subdomain is a domain that is created under the main domain. Suppose you purchase a domain- example.com. Now, you got the authority of creating domains like sub.example.com. This is called the subdomain. After having a domain, you can create unlimited numbers of subdomains. But, it is not necessary to buy a domain to get a subdomain. Most of the blogging sites provide subdomains for free like wordpress will give you a subdomain like yoursite.wordpress.com.

Blogger.com is one of the most popular websites where you can create your own blog. This is Google's product, so you do not need to worry about the quality of service. You will need a Gmail account to sign up. After signing, it will ask you to enter the title and name of your blog. Then, it will provide you a subdomain that will look like yourblog.blogspot.com.
Once this process is finished, you can upload your articles and customize your site. In blogger, customization is limited, but its reputation and user-friendly interface make it very popular among new bloggers.
