How to sell effectively? Ten mistakes you make when selling..!!

1. You don't focus on your outfit

How you dress dramatically influences how you are perceived. If you show up in a suit at a meeting, the client will consider you a competent person, but if you show up in a tracksuit or a loose T-shirt with the logo of your favorite team, you will immediately alienate him. Make sure you look professional.

2. You don't talk to the right people

If you are selling to a company, always contact someone interested in buying your product or service. It will not always be the boss; much more often, it is the manager of a specific unit who makes decisions about purchasing new services. You will not sell your product unless you contact the person who would like to buy it and make decisions about it.

3. You focus on the product

When you start your sales presentation, your focus is mainly on the features and benefits of your product. It's not necessarily a good strategy. The potential customer is not interested in acquiring the thing itself but in the benefits of having it. If you devote the entire presentation to the product, there will be no room for the customer and his needs.

4. You don't research your client's needs

Every customer needs that your product can potentially satisfy. To tell him about it, you have to get to know her. Many people, however, do not focus on researching the client but on presenting the product to him with the conviction that this way, the client will find something for himself, when in fact, such a presentation will tire him.

5 . You don't wonder what to say

Each sales presentation must begin with words that will reach the customer, which cannot be invented while waiting. If you prepare for the interview and figure out what you want to say to the potential client in your head, your presentation will be more attractive. Nobody will buy a product from you if you are not as confident as possible.

6. You are not putting enough pressure on the client

Putting pressure on the customer is not a wise idea when you do it outright. But completely letting go is not good either. The customer must feel that you expect him to answer his question. If you do not pressure him, he will tell you goodbye that he may think about it and will not contact you again.

7 . You wait for the client to reach out to you

A big mistake on the part of salespeople is waiting for the customer to contact them. You must be aware that the client does not think about your offer to him and forgets your last name after several minutes. He is absorbed in entirely different things. If you wait for him to speak to you, you will never close the sale.

8. You get bogged down

Anyone who hears a sales representative on the phone immediately tries to shake him off. If you allow it, you will not make an appointment. Disagree that the person will call you back or that you will arrange an appointment another time. Make them make an appointment or explicitly decline to attend.

9 . You don't care where you talk to your client

The place where you present your product is of great importance. It cannot be a cafe or an unfurnished office. It's best to choose a place where the client works. Always encourage him to take you to a conference room or other quiet place where you can spread your papers and sit down.

10 . You try to sell asap

More than half of the customers on the market need time to think after the first meeting. If you put pressure on them, you can scare them away and force them to refuse to close the deal. Do not rush. If a customer tells you to contact you in a few days, they will. Don't put pressure on him, or you will lose the client.

Here are ten common selling mistakes. Avoid them, and you will increase your chances of a successful transaction.
