Date: May 2021With the help of the Internet, you have an unimaginable amount (and quality) of development material at your disposal. There are paid and there are quite a few free ones. Now I will analyze reading as a self-development technique. What do you read, why do you read, do you read at all? Acquiring new information, self-improvement, and continuous learning is essential for ALL mothers. It doesn't matter if someone deals with network marketing or is planning their own business, or maybe already developing it, or working as an employee. Continuous development, stable knowledge, and self-improvement are necessary to move forward. For this, reading (reading books) is the most ideal solution even today. Your business will develop ONLY if YOU are developing yourself. You can only be fulfilled in your private life if you are fulfilled in yourself. The two are related. Fortunately, you don't have to learn everything twice. What you learn in your private life can be put to good use in your business and vice versa. (club on Facebook is about exactly that. It shows direction, motivates, helps you to develop, to learn, to fulfill yourself... either in your business or in your personal life.) Why is reading a book good? Let's count. If you read a developing and knowledge-enhancing book every month, that's 12 books a year. If you not only read but also try to put what you read into practice, then by the end of the year you will have knowledge and experience that you have only dreamed of until now. You will have 12 methods in your hands, you will have an opinion on 12 topics, and you can also talk and give information on these topics. Not to mention that you get 12 opportunities for inspiration, to answer the question "how and where to go next". What book are you reading? In what area do you develop yourself? If you already have a field of activity that you are involved in or that you would like to build your business on, I recommend that you do not only read books in your field. Always broaden your horizons, and read books on topics that interest your target group. For example, if you have a fishing business (many women like fishing, but feel free to replace it with your field), you read a lot and improve your knowledge on the subject of fishing. By definition, your target group also has great knowledge about fishing. You can talk for hours about the fish, the water level, and the best fishing paradises. Enjoy this kind of information, just devour articles about this. A lot of knowledge is essential for your business so that you have a wide range of knowledge in this area. With this, you can establish your expert status very well. But don't stop there! Don't just want to be an expert, but also a friend! A good acquaintance! Let the customer feel that shopping with you is like meeting a dear friend! Find out what your target market is STILL interested in and develop yourself in it too! Staying on the topic of fishing, your target group is probably interested in cooking and preparing fish meals. Maybe you'd like to hear about good, kid-friendly restaurants in the area where you can eat fish. Or even children's camps, where children can be near water, since it is important for your customer that their children also love water. Have information about them, have an opinion! Be a good girlfriend in the eyes of your target group. This is how he will continue to recommend you, this is how he will visit you even if he does not want to buy fishing equipment. Of course, if he is already in your store or reading on your website, it is much easier to grab him with an unmissable offer, but that is another topic. I don't always feel like listening to the lectures of Bob Proctor or Vida (although I've already learned a fantastic lot from them). I can hate all the motivational speakers sometimes! In this mood, for example, watching a James Bond movie (or The Avengers, or some shooting action movie) and a HIIT workout/kickbox aerobics are my favorite combination these days. What should you read if you don't know what you'd like to do? Since you are reading this blog, you are already on the road to owning your own business. If you are not yet sure what you would like to do, what you could put your heart and soul into, don't be sad. This is no reason to give up. Many techniques and possibilities can be used to crystallize your path. However, what all but all entrepreneurs have in common is that they constantly improve themselves. They are constantly expanding their knowledge. Do this too! Read about successful entrepreneurs. Read about self-knowledge. Read about elite athletes. You can read books on marketing or business building for beginners if you currently find this topic interesting. Your thoughts must revolve around your future business for the majority of your day because this will reveal what you need to do for your business. Why read a book? Is it not enough for me to read someone's blog or watch their videos? If you follow someone's blog or YouTube channel, it's great. I recommend that you subscribe to it so that you can always be informed about the latest posts and videos. However, the book is completely different. The length of a book allows the author to develop and touch on related topics. They make the overall picture more complete and nuanced. A book contains the acid and salt of the author's opinion. In a book, you can follow the author's train of thought, until finally the realization, the catharsis, can happen. Unfortunately, a blog post is not always enough for this. Not even if several articles can be read on the given topic. You can start a series of articles on a website practically anywhere, since you can come to any article from the search engines. You can even fall right in the middle of the knowledge material, so in the absence of history, not so much information will come through. Reading internet posts is more like reading a newspaper than a book. As an experienced post writer and avid book reader, I can tell you that it is much more difficult to organize knowledge in smaller posts than in longer books. Reading a blog is a completely different experience than picking up a book and following the author from beginning to end. Not better, not worse. It's just different. As an entrepreneur, you need both! So read, become more, and fulfill yourself in life!
