1. If the phone is soaked in water, turn it off first. If water gets somewhere while the phone is on, then a short circuit can also occur. Remember that if your phone falls into water or is wet, do not try to check whether any of its buttons work or not. It would be wise to turn it off.

2. After turning off the soaked phone, separate all your accessories. That is, separate the cable connected to the phone with the battery, SIM card, memory card and store it in a dry towel. Insulating all of these accessories will reduce the risk of a short circuit.

3. If your phone has a non-removable battery (the battery is fixed to the phone), you will lose the option to remove the battery and turn it off. In this case, press and hold the power button until the phone turns off. The non-removable battery may short-circuit the phone.

4. After disassembling the phone accessories, it is necessary to dry all parts of the phone. It's best to use paper towels for this. In addition, soft towels can also be used to clean the phone.

5. After cleaning with a towel, the most important thing would be to dry the inner parts of the phone. To do this, place your phone on dry rice and store it in a container. Rice absorbs moisture quickly. In this case, the internal parts of the phone dry out.

6. If you don't want to leave your phone in the rice cooker, you can also use a silica gel pack. These gel packs are kept in shoeboxes, device boxes. They can absorb moisture faster than rice.

7. Leave your phone in a silica pack or rice cooker for at least 24 hours. Don't think about turning it on until it dries completely. Along with the cell phone, the battery and other accessories can also be dried on rice. Do not turn on the phone until it is completely dry.

8. After 24 hours, when the phone and all its parts are dry and the moisture is gone, turn it on. If the phone does not turn on now, take it to a service center.

• Do not try to dry your phone with a clothes dryer. The dryer emits very hot air that can melt the phone's circuits.

• If your phone gets wet, turn it off immediately. Using any other button greatly increases the risk of a short circuit.

• Do not use the headset or USB port until the phone is completely dry. This increases the risk of moisture.
